They drove for an hour and a half.
She got to know the guy. His name was Josh and he had a wife and a son. They were miserably poor and he was doing all he could for them. This was his third job. He worked at a grocery store in the early morning, drove a taxi during the day, and was a night guard at a museum until late.
She paid the poor man extra and hopped out of the car.
He had taken her to a hotel, but she knew she didn't have enough money to stay there. She wasn't about to tell him that, though.
It was eight o'clock, but still fairly light outside. She needed to find somewhere to sleep.
She walked around the back of the hotel. There was a big pool in the back with chairs and pillows. She felt like a hobo.
No one was there and she only noticed one security camera. She found a spot where the camera would not see her- right next to the showers and bathroom saved from the camera due to privacy.
She jumped over the fence and waited for alarms to go off. When they didn't, she sighed with relief then laughed at herself for expecting such a thing.
She made a decent sleeping place with a chair that could be pushed down so it was lying completely flat and tons of pillows and cushions. This was a nice place.
She snuggled up on her homemade bed and was asleep in an instant.
