Cereza POV
"So there's absolutely nothing you can do?" I asked. "I'm sorry Cereza, but until I find some type of evidence or some kind of information, I can't. I have to know what I'm dealing with before I act." Mom said.
"Whatever magic Eric has, is stronger than the magic you currently have at disposal." She said sadly.
Wait a second... "I have magic?" I asked.
"I just told you that you were a fairy, of course you have magic." She said. "Give me your hand." Mom said reaching for me.
"Why?" I ask apprehensively as I let her take my hand. "So I can see where your powers lie." She said.
"I sense a great power within you. I knew you would be strong, but I didn't know how much." Mom said. "Fire is your element. You always had a fiery spirit." She said.
"What do you mean?" I ask. "All in do time sweetheart. Let it happen when it happens. You can't rush it." She said, but it wasn't making any sense.
"I don't understand why Eric would go to these lengths. What does he want from you? Is it your power?" Mom asked changing the subject.
"No..... he just wants me. He doesn't even know I have powers. Well, at the moment he doesn't. He's never mentioned it." I said.
"This is all happening because he wants you!?! If he wanted you that badly he should have treated you better!!" Mom screamed.
"Now that he realizes it's too late to try to win me over, he's trying to take me by force." I say. "I think James was right to be worried about your safety Cereza. Oh god, what are we going to do?" She asked.
"We really can't do much for my safety if we don't know what we're up against." I say.
"Here, take this." Mom said as she summoned an object and gave it to me. "What's this? It's very pretty." I say. "This is a bottle that siphons magical energy. If you get near any, it will suck it up and keep it bottled up." She said.
"If I can see what kind of magic it is, than I can figure out how to help you." Mom said.
She summoned something else. "And, I want you to wear this." She said giving me the heart shaped pendent I shoved in a drawer months ago.
"Uh uh." I said shaking my head.
"Why not?" Mom asked. "I shoved that thing in a drawer and acted like I never found it. It spoke to me!" I exclaimed.
"I'm sure it did Cereza. You can use this to communicate with people and travel." She explained.
"It said my name!" I exclaimed. "If you heard someone, that means a certain fairy is trying to get ahold of me." She said.
"Do you know an Annabella?" Mom asked.
"Yeah, I saw her the day Eric tried to SA me. She dropped me through a portal and made me think I was going to die." I said
Mom laughed. "She's a good friend of mine, my best friend actually. I had spoken with her a few months ago. I was wondering why it was in a drawer. Annabelle must have seen that you had the necklace and tried to call out to you." She said.
"Okay, please tell her to never do that again. I thought I was crazy." I said. Mom laughs. "I'll be sure to tell her." Mom said. "Mom?" I ask. "Yes?" She answers.
"Will I be able to transform into a fairy like you?" I ask. Mom smiled. "Of course you will. It just has to happen when the time is right." She said.
Suddenly, I get a call. I walked away to take it.
