Cereza's POV

Jason carried me down to the hospital's first floor and out the doors. James was waiting downstairs.

"It's nice to see you awake again. I'm glad you're alright." James said. I smiled. "Thank you." I said.

"I'll be right back Dad, I'm just gonna help her into the car." Jason said. "Alright son." James said.

Penelope opened the door and Jason put me in. "Thank you babe." I said as Jason put on my seat belt. "You're welcome baby. I love you." He said. "I love you too." I said. Jason kissed me and left.

I waved goodbye. Penelope gave me one last hug. "I'm so happy that you're back, best friend." I smiled. "I'm happy to be back." I said as I hugged her tightly. We released our hug, then Penelope shut the door.

Dad pulls out the parking space and honks, signifying that we were leaving. He pulls out of the parking lot and head home.

"So Mom, I heard you was dragging people across counters." I said trying to hold back my laughter.

"I'm sorry you had to hear about your mother behaving in such a way, but yes I did. I dragged that bitch and I'm proud of what I did, and I ain't apologizing." Mom said proudly.

I busted out in laughter. I don't know what answer I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting that.

"These people out here don't get it. You cannot yell in my face, say some disrespectful shit and expect me to not drag you across something." She laughed.

I laughed. "Dad, I heard you had to handle Mom." He laughed. Mom turned around. "Handle me? Who gon handle me?" She said. Okay, Megan thee Stallion.

"Honestly, between me beating up a receptionist and you fighting nurses and doctors, I don't think we're going be allowed back into this hospital ever again." Mom said.

"I'm serious girl, keep your health up cause I don't think we're allowed back." Mom laughed. Me and Dad were cracking up.

Our laughter died down and I turned to look out the window.

I let out a sigh.

"You okay princess?" Dad asks. I sigh again. "Yes and no, but I'll be okay. I just wanna go home and go to bed." I said. "Do you want to talk about it?" Mom asks.

"I mean, I'm gonna to have to. This isn't something that just goes away." I said. I sigh. "What am I going to do? What we going to do? What can we do? It just seems like there is nothing that stops him. He just keeps coming back." I said.

"I don't know know exactly how I put him at bay, but I don't know if I can do it again. I don't think I want to do it again. I don't want to become that type of person." I say remembering the past two weeks. It was bringing back those emotions.

"What do you mean, Cereza? Become what type of person?" Mom asked.

"A murderer." I said.

"WHOA, a murderer? Cereza, why would you become a murderer?" Mom asked. I felt my eyes tear up.

"You didn't see what happened that night. I.... lost it. When I looked at Jason's dead body, I lost my morality, I lost my sanity. I wanted to kill Eric." I said.

"I felt my body fill with this uncontrollable anger. I willingly let myself lose control. I-I didn't know what I was doing, I just knew I wanted to kill him. I wanted to see Eric's bloody; mangled up body struggle to keep him alive before delivering the final blow." I said letting my tears fall.

"Cereza..." Dad said shocked that those words even left my mouth. He took a left turn and I immediately recognized our street. I didn't even realize that we were almost home.
