Chapter 28

Jason's POV

We all returned to the waiting room and waited. It was quiet, no one was making a sound.

The wait was excruciating. I watched the clock, listening to the ticks, and watching time go by. We were waiting for hours. Half of us had fallen asleep. I was damn near sleep myself.

Rae was leaning against her Mom, Elder Roxianne was knocked out in her chair. She has to be under extreme stress. The last thing she heard, was her niece screaming.

I was sitting next to Ms. Diana who was leaning on King Kingston. King Kingston was asleep, and I assumed Ms. Diana was too.

Just when I was about to fall asleep, Ms. Diana nudged me in the arm.

"Jason." She whispered. "Hmm?" I responded. "You should call your mother and let her know you're okay. I'm pretty sure she is aware of the disaster that took place tonight and is worried sick. Call her before she kills you." Ms. Diana said.

I sat up. "Yeah, you're right." I said stretching. I fished for my phone. I've been so worried about Cereza, I forgot about my own mother. Now that's who's gonna kill me.

"As a matter of fact, you all should be calling your parents to let them know about what happened tonight." Ms. Diana said.

Most of us were asleep, so they didn't hear her, so I took it upon myself to wake everyone up.

"Y'all." I said at regular volume. No one moved like they heard me.

Luna, Melanie, Belle, Penelope, Brice, Tomas, Sean, Ryder, Leon and Marcus were all asleep.

"Y'all!" I said louder. Still no movement. I sigh and get up from my chair to walk over to them.

I shake Leon's shoulder causing him to jolt awake, squaring up ready to fight. "Yo chill! I was just trying to wake you up!" I exclaimed squaring up just in case he swung.

"Sorry man." He said stretching himself out. "It's cool. Ms. Diana wanted us to call our parents and let them know what happened." I told him.

"Alright." Leon said yawning as he settled back in his seat. He bolted upwards. "Oh my God!" He said shouted.

"What?" I asked. "I forgot about my parents!" He shouted again. Leon walked over to a sleeping Marcus and Penelope, and kicked Marcus in the leg.

Marcus sat up abruptly causing both him and Penelope to wake up. "Ow!" He yelled, then looked to Leon. "What the hell was that for Leon?" Marcus yelled.

"Language!" I said motioning over to Ms. Diana and King Kingston.

Marcus ignored me.

"Yo listen to me! You trynna die tonight? Call your Mom!" Leon yelled. Marcus's eyes just about popped out of his head.

"Oh shit! Yo Penelope, wake up!" Marcus said shaking his girlfriend and searching for his phone.

"What is with all the yelling?" Luna whined. I look over and she's awake along with everybody else.

I walk over to her. "Ms. Diana wants us to call our parents and tell them what's going on." I explain.

She yawned. "Oh yeah. We should call them." Luna says digging for her phone.

"Actually, I think it's best if we tell them in person." Sean said. "Yeah, we should get home, we've been out for a long time. My Dad must be worried sick." Luna said.

Ryder scoffed. "That's not compared to what my Dad's going to do to me. He is going to kick my ass." Ryder said.

Now it's Leon's turn to laugh. "Forget what your Dad's going to do, that's not even close to what our Mom's are going to do to us, bro." Leon said.
