Cereza's POV

The following day, I'm grateful I get to sleep in. Luckily for me, I had no nightmares and my headache is gone.

I got up, took a shower, and got dressed. Normally, I would keep my night clothes on, since I have no where to go, but I just felt like putting on clothes today.

I went downstairs to watch some TV. It feels good to not have to wake up early.

FROM PENELOPE
"Hey bestie! Whatcha doing?👀" Penelope asks.

"Nothing much. Just watching TV." I send.

"I was hoping you'd say that! Wanna do some last minute Christmas shopping?🎄🎁" She asked.

"But, I already went Christmas shopping." I text.

"Yeah, but I want to go shopping today and I don't want to go alone!" Penelope texted.

"Okay🙄, you're picking me up though." I sent.

"YAY!💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 I'll be there in 10 minutes." She texts.

Since I was already dressed, I just throw on a pair of shoes. I give myself a look over in the mirror, to make sure I looked okay.

I heard the horn of a car and I looked outside. Damn, she's here already?

Before I left out the house, I was going to yell to my mom that I was leaving.

When I heard nothing, I come to find out my mom has been gone since 6:00AM. She had to go in early for work. I ran out to Penelope's car and got in.

"What made you want to go shopping?" I asked.

"Girl, I just needed to get out of the house before I tie my brothers up and stick them in the basement." Penelope said.

I laughed. "Very glad, I don't have siblings." I said.

"Yes, be very glad." She said.

By this time, we were at the mall and had started walking around.

"Have you gotten your onesie yet?" Penelope asks. I thought about it. "You know what? I don't think I have." I reply.

"Then we better start looking." Penelope said.

We walk over to some nearby stores and start looking. With Christmas being so close, these greedy savages have taken damn near all the good stuff. Like, where are all the Santa hats?

"Hey Cereza, what about this one?" Penelope says as she holds it up.

"Hey Cereza, what about this one?" Penelope says as she holds it up

"It's adorable, but I think I don't want to be a reindeer." I say.

"Alright, I'm going to continue looking then." She says. I continue looking as well.

"Cereza!" Penelope yell. "Yeah?" I answer.

"What about this one?" She asks holding it up.
