🚪 Chapter Twenty

Cactus Elize's POV:

"Why is it my place in the first place?", I complained to Shinko when the others found their way to the living and sat comfortably on my couch.

"Your place is the closest.", Cola stated.

"It isn't! Shinko's place is--mummm, our not-so-innocent Shinko here just shoved a whole baguette into my mouth to shut me up. "You are hungry, aren't you?!"

Whoa. That's quite a reaction. I'm impressed. You forcing me to eat the whole thing hurts, though.

Nom nom nom... Oh sh--

And just when I lost my balance, my knight and shining armor supported me. "Please don't hurt my Cactus!", he begged.

'my Cactus', did he think I wouldn't hear that? Okay, Shinko's forgiven. I'm a little too melted over here to even bother argue. Besides, they're already bickering about this crisis and stuff.

Eren held my hand and we both sat on the other couch.

"Roger that.", I saw Shinko salute at her stingy husband and then went towards our home telephone.

"Cactus, I will be using your phone!!!!", she yelled.

"Say that before using it!", I yelled back.

Cola Elica's POV

Corgi. Corgi. Corgi.

That's the only thing I can think about right now!

A Corgi is currently on the hands of my fiancee. I want to hold 'it' too.

I don't want to think that 'it' is a 'he'  and 'he' is a guy, named Armin. I know him. Jean has mentioned him to me before.

We're actually inside a messy laboratory right now. I tagged along, but I've honestly done nothing but idle while the others are busy looking for some antidote...

What am I doing here again?

Corgi. Corgi. Corgi.

That's right. All because of a cute little pet dog. Is that wrong, huh? Anyways, Jean asked me to hold 'it' for him because he wanted to help looking. And here I am, trying my best not to ogle. Mind over matter, sis. Don't let the dog get into you. Stay. Calm.

It barked for the first time. It baaaarked! Okay, remember the rules? Stick to the rules, Cola. You might not want to ruin your image right here, right now.

Ahm, I wonder what's wrong with it. It just started barking when Shinko grabbed a small jar of gummy worms from the box. Don't tell me it wants a piece of gummy worms too...

Poof!

I almost jump off my feet. All of a sudden the cute little yellowish Corgi on my grasp began misshaping and then! And then! It turned back to its human form. I covered my eyes, in case of you know...like in the movies, in case he doesn't have anything on.

I looked down, disappointed from what had just occurred. On the bright side, at least I had the chance to hold my favorite kind of dog even just for a while.

Just a second after I finally moved on, Shinko lost her consciousness right in front of my very eyes. Poor Shinko fell on the floor...

"Oh, shit. Not again.", Jean said, face palming.

I walked closer to Shinko and realized something. She had turned into a child.

What's going on here? We're still in the middle of commotion when we heard another incident. Eren, Cactus' supposed to be secret husband, had also turned into a child.

What? Why? How? Things just happened really fast.

I can't keep up with everything!
