Opening her eyes as she gotten one of the best night's sleep in what had been maybe a year Frankie couldn't help but smell the aroma of bacon, coffee and eggs. Thinking it was maybe a dream, or that she was back at her parents home images of the nights events quickly came rushing back to her. It seemed like in a matter of weeks, well really in a year her life had changed drastically for she went from being safely sheltered in her parents loving home and living the simple life of just going to school with not really a care in the world. In a years time it seemed like she had lost more than she could count, she never allowed herself to fully grieve from her parents death, and life had been up to her and every decision from where she would live, how much money she would designate to what and which priorities of life were most important. At times it seemed overwhelming and many days she tried her best to remain upbeat and putting on a facade that she could handle it all. So far she was doing it, she was doing her best despite the obstacles life was throwing at her.
Melting into the bed she could hear the faint sound of music playing guessing it was Stef. Throwing on the warm socks the woman had given her it was a rather chilly morning for August as she saw a sweatshirt on the chair and quickly threw it on as well quietly heading out the room. Right now she owed everything to the blonde for being so kind and letting her stay with her as she had no idea what she would have done last night. Feeling the weight of it all overwhelm her that faded for a bit as she couldn't help but giggle seeing Stef cooking and dancing to music she had not heard since her father played it from his records. Often when she didn't want to smile the cop had a way of bringing it out just from her pure silliness that Frankie adored.
Hearing her stomach growl and shaking her head at Stef's constant smoking that she knew she tired to hide from her she gently tapped the cops arm as Stef looked to her startled.
"Hey baby oh my god you scared me!" She said smiling and planting a giant kiss on Frankie's cheek as she put her smoke out." How did you sleep love?"
"Um good. Not bad actually."
"Good. I made breakfast. Have a seat love."
"Smells awesome." Taking a seat as Stef set Frankie's plate in front of her as well as her own never had she thought in a million years that this would happen. That she would ever cross paths with the baby she gave up years ago. To be honest she had Lena to thank for this and needed to let her know how grateful she was since she had not.
"Hope you like cheese in your eggs. If you need them cooked more let me know."
"Oh no I actually like them like this. No one else I know does." Frankie said taking a bite as the cop smiled at her.
"Yeah? Me too."
"Yeah."
"MM. So you slept good my girl?"
"I did. I don't even remember falling asleep actually." She said taking a sip of the strong coffee that she loved as the cop did the same.
"Oh man that's the best kind. I'm glad . You needed it love.""I think so too. Did you sleep ok?"
"For me yes."
"Why do you say that? Do you not sleep well?" Frankie asked concerned as she took a bite of the cheesy eggs and loving them.
"I never get much. Maybe four hours the most. But that's good for me.I was never much of a heavy sleeper."
"How come?"
"MM not sure. Just wasn't love."
"Do you have alot of stuff on your mind?' Frankie asked as the cop couldn't help but smile for Frankie was always concerned.
