Chapter 2- Not What I Expected. At All!

I made my way down the lanes and through the trees and came across the familiar clearing.

The Wishing well.

Oh how I love it.

I go near it and look at my reflection in the clear water. I smile at my reflection and remove a penny from my pocket. I put it in the well and make my wish.

I hope I find love.

Thud.

Shuffle.

Shuffle.

Well I didn't expect it so soon. I go near the noise and find, Ryder Arrows.

Seriously well?

Why me?!

He smirks at me and would it be cliché to say that I felt butterflies?

But I felt them. The whole damn farm.

I weakly smile and try to leave but he catches my arm and says,
"You look gorgeous."

I blush.

Like a freakin' tomato.

I shake my head and laugh, and leave from there.

I can't do this.

I have to hate him. This can't be happening. No not now. Not ever.

But he has never even looked at me.

Is this some sort of game? I swear I have to stay away from him.

But the well has made its decision and it won't change.

I sigh and run up to my porch and open the door, the lights are on that means that my brother is home.

How come? He wasn't supposed to be out from college so early, he was supposed to come tomorrow.

Still the same, they never grow up do they?

But still I run to the kitchen where he practically lives and hug him.

No not the cute ones you see. The ones that knock the air out of you, crush your bones but still make you feel loved and content at the same time.

After we let go, I bombard him with questions ranging from crazy to deranged octopus.

"How are you?

Do you eat properly?

Any exciting news?

How come you are early?

Do mom and dad know you are coming?

When did you get here?

How is Rebecca?

Still bearing with you?

How is aunt Melissa?

You did visit her right?

Or did you not go?

Did you bring Mr. Monkey?
