Chapter 16- Perfect

After the photo booth, Ryder takes me to a few other rides.

Now it's about 8:30 and me and Ryder have ridden all the rides. Twice. But whenever I mentioned the ferris wheel, he'd change the topic or steered me away from it.

Finally we had just finished playing a stall game and Ryder began acting weird.

Like not usual weird Ryder weird. But extremely weird Ryder weird, he blindfolds me.

I don't know what he is trying to do, but I go with it.

Is he trying to be kinky? What the heck?! What is wrong with me?!

Shaking my head at myself, I just let Ryder guide me to God knows where.

After fifteen minutes of walking and two stops, we reach our destination, as Ryder leads me inside something and lets me sit down.

I sit patiently, waiting for him to remove the blindfold, but he doesn't.

"Um Ryder, are you ever going to remove this thing?" I question, my curiosity getting the best of me.

"Just one more minute princess. You won't regret it, I promise." he says.

I just nod, and lean against the chair. It's not that soft, it feels like railings. This is so weird.

Suddenly there is a jerk. I move forwards buy steady myself.

I feel Ryder's hands slowly come near my face, and untie the cloth from around my eyes.

What I saw, totally blew me away. Like it was mind blowing.

We were up in the ferris wheel, and it had stopped. We were now on the highest point getting a clear view of everything.

But that wasn't it, no, Ryder had gone out of his way to make a small picnic here.

Hotdogs, sandwiches, pop tarts, cupcakes, smoothies.

Everything that shouldn't be on the ferris wheel was there.

I am speechless, I look at Ryder who has this cute look on his face, eagerly waiting for my reaction.

I reach out and hug him, real tight.

This was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me.

"Ryder, this is amazing. I am speechless, it's so beautiful and well planned. I don't even know what to say."

He just smiles and gestures for me to eat, "It was nothing, princess. Now go on, eat."

I began eating. One by one I tried everything, it was absolutely heavenly. Finally I slumped on the smoothie while Ryder put everything back into the basket.

The compartment was pretty big, now that I come to think of it.

Ryder then did something unexpected, he placed a few blankets and pillows and lied down on them. He pulled me with him and the next thing you know, I am cuddling him, in the middle of the sky, gazing at stars.

And let me tell you, it was absolutely perfect.

We just lied in the silence, getting comfort from each other's presence. But little did I know that there was more to come.

Suddenly fireworks lit the sky. Blues, purples, greens and reds filled the sky. It was mesmerising.

The fireworks display got over and all the lights began to close.

"Shouldn't we be leaving too?" I ask Ryder, turning myself so now I am facing him.

"Well, you are right. And I have got plans for you princess. Awesome ones that you'll love." he grins.
