Memories.
Do you still remember your chilhood? What are you busy with during those days? What are you playing? The cartoons that you are always watching? Your everyday routine? The places you have been to? Your playmates? Your friends?
My memories of being a five years old is like my memories of my Tagalog.
Majority of it I almost forgot. Hmmm not really majority I guess maybe I just forgot the specific details of it.
When I got back here in the Philippines, my Dad always ask me, sa car pa lang, "Oh naalala mo pa si Ate Sabel mo, lagi mo siyang kalaro non sila ng kapatid niyang si Celine. Mga cousins mo sila."
Yah I know who they are of course they are my first cousins. We have live in one roof years before.
Tapos my Dad will add, eh si ganito, eh si ganyan. Si Barangay Captain, si neighborhood, si Aleng ganito si Mamang ganyan. I havent remember na. The town is too huge to remember all of their name and their faces.
Honestly, except for my first cousins, hindi ko na ma-recall  ang ibang names and faces ng mga taga barrio... however... there is another special exemption.
"N-naalala mo pa yun na lagi kong sinasabi sayo?" Her beautiful eyes got widened.
"Oo. Whenever Im teasing you before. You slap my arms and you will say Stephen siraulo ka."
"N-na.. na... nakakaalala ka na. Naalala mo na ako."
I smiled on her, "Yah. Di naman kita nakalimutan. Youre my...."
"I-im your?"
"Kalaro." I saw an expression of disappointment in her face. I know, simula pa lang she is expecting that I will remember her more than a childhood friend.
"Sige goodnight. Tulog na ako Belya." At pumasok na ako sa room.
The truth.
I do remember her.
Infact I havent forgotten her.
I havent forgotten everything about her.
I will always her remember as my....
