Things have changed completely during filming Ashton's stayed by my side dealing with everything that came with it...when filming ended and after Camp Mars we headed over to Europe for a few shows...but in August we found out Ashton was pregnant and due in March...of course everyone was ecstatic especially my mother and Ash's father...her stepmother wasn't not pleased when we let her know she would not be apart of our child's life even more when Joe said the decision was ours and ours alone...in October we decided to announce the pregnancy letting the world know we would be welcoming a son Colby Joseph Leto...our boy was born March 12, 2016 and my god he was perfect holding him for the first time it all made sense I wanted everything better for her...Cj was now a year old and a handful not that we would have her any other way...we were also in the middle of rehearsals for the new tour taking a break we all sat upstairs while Ashton made lunch...I sat outside watching Colby run around playing "So I'm thinking of proposing to Ashton soon..."
Shannon raised an eyebrow "What is there to think about you've been together 11 years you have a kid together...ask her."
I nodded "I'm afraid to fuck this up Shan...everything with her is so perfect and easy...she never complains about the things I get into like the rock climbing I know she hates it but she supports me because I enjoy it...I have a ring I'm just scared to death."
He nodded "Because no one is like Ashton she isn't the typical LA girl...she could give two fucks about all this like this house you spent all this money on this house for her after finding out she was pregnant with Colby..she loves it but she loved the house you had before...shes not like the others Jared she doesn't expect life on a silver platter she just wants you she always has."
I nodded "I never felt what she makes me feel you know...I get to be who I am without wondering if I embarrass her by being me."
Shannon chuckled "Oh you have.."
I laughed "You know what I mean..."
He nodded "You know I wasn't on team Ashton and Jared at all...like most I was concerned she has just turned 21 you were 34...how the hell could you two work then I saw you two sitting on the tour bus together you were calmer and happier...she didn't give to flying fucks about who you were..and now look at you..you two have that amazing little boy just do it....look at me and Rylie I just took her to Vegas and did it sure her parents were pissed but it was about us and Kade."
I nodded back in November Shannon married hia girlfiend of 2 years Rylie and on February 3 they welcomed my nephew Kaden Shan Leto "You're right."
Shannon nodded "Go do it."
I raised an eyebrow "Now?"
He nodded "Yeah...trust me man you don't need an elaborate proposal go take a hike I'll watch Cj."
I nodded slightly "You don't mind?"
Shannon shook his head "Not at all."
I stood up "Thanks man."
He nodded "No problem."
I nodded and walked inside I ran upstairs to grab the ring then went onto the kitchen "Lunch done?"
Ashton nodded "Yeah...already took food out to everyone."
I nodded "Come for a walk with me please..Shannon is gonna watch Cj."
She nodded "Um okay."
I took her hand and we walked out...we walked for a while until we reached a place I took her a few times after we moved in while she was pregnant with Colby"You know I've been doing a lot of thinking lately."
Ashton nodded "About?:
I nodded "We've been together 11 years...you've dealt with all my bullshit, the movies, touring, the media, Shannon...you never complained...and now you've given me our little boy...I know we're in this for the rest of our lives but there is one thing I need to change."
She raised an eyebrow as she looked at me "Jared?"
I got down on one knee "Ashton Elisabeth Cole will you marry me?"
Ashton laughed softly then leaned down pressing a kiss to my lips "Yes a million times yes."
I pulled back slipping the ring in her finger "Yes?"
She smiled "Without a single doubt."
I stood up pulling her into my arms "I love you.."
Ashton smiled "We're engaged.."
I smiled "Yes we are..."
She gasped "My dad."
I chuckled "Asked his permission a while ago...when I bought the ring."
Ashton laughed softly "God I love you."
I tucked her hair behind her ear "I love you too baby."
She wrapped her arms around my neck "You are so sneaky you know that."
I sighed "I know you have no idea how long I've had this ring debating on when and how...I'm so terrified I'm going to fuck this up.."
Ashton shook her "J.."
I nodded "I know.."
She gently he pulled my down by my beard "I'm not going anywhere Jared...you're stuck with me."
I smiled "Wouldn't have it any other way."
Ashton smiled "Good.."
I pressed a light kiss to her lips "Let's go eat."
She nodded "Lets."
I smiled sofltly as we headed back she said yes...I was engaged to love of my life I had a wonderful son what could be better
