There she goes writing her book
not bothering to give anyone a second look
as she is engrossed in her words and verses,
typing away on her laptop and rehearses
every line she writes in her head
and she keeps writing until she goes to bed.
There she is with her ombre hair,
green and blue like the character she created over there
back in 2012 when she thought she in love
and realized that she was in love with the idea of love.
Madeline Adella Rivers is what they call her,
the girl who raced by and looked like a blur
in a small painting filled with people—
she was the prequel
to the name M.A. Rivers.
