There was a knight I once loved,
he was kind and sweet
and treated me fairly.
At times he'd make fun of me
and treat me like shit,
but he never meant to
hurt me on purpose.
He loved me for who I was,
and the knight slew dragons
for his princess that he
saw as one of his best friends.
There was a knight I once loved
who had a bad temper at times
and did what he could
to make sure I was always happy,
but sometimes I'd get to sad
and he would get upset
because he could do nothing.
One day he grabbed his armor
and left the village,
leaving nothing but a note
for his princess.
I cried and cried,
but I knew this was for the best,
because he was a knight,
and I was only one princess
who simply wasn't the one.
