I dreamt one night that you would be there,
with all that you were and a smile on your face,
but when I woke I saw that you were nowhere near,
and I got up and got dressed just like any other day.
My feelings for you left untouched,
for I still loved you
and I still saw you the same way
I saw you when we first fell in love.
I crashed into my own nightmares
and I felt it all happen all too fast,
and I thought that maybe the movie I was in
could have an alternate ending
where you and I could be together,
but the script was final
and I had to live with what was done.
