You drank your Captain Morgan
before we left
to the convention
because he tempted
you and you fell
for his trap.
You talked more
than usual,
and you told me,
'want to know a secret?
The girls I meet
aren't as hot
as you.'
Comfort washed over me
and I felt a little
happier.
He told me how
he told his friends
about our friends with benefits
situation,
and he told me
that he would tell them,
'I still love Marzia,'
he paused with hesitation,
but that was all I needed to hear.
I asked him in the car
if I was the reason why
we aren't together
anymore,
but he paused for a long
time and told me that
there were just too many
problems.
