Like Icarus, I spread my wings and flew too close to the sun, but I was so blinded by the adrenaline rush and by my love for you that I didn't notice that I was falling apart.
You probably didn't notice that you were hurting me, so I can't fully blame you for my downfall. We were both blinded by a wonder that we had never seen. You were entranced by my wings and I was eager to reach your light and touch it for myself.
Too bad that I had to fall into the sea and watch you watch me drown.
