Rachel pov:

"So tell me how are you feeling." Jamie my counselor asked.

"Honestly life is going really good right now. I still have nightmares occasionally of being bullied and beaten lo sometimes I imagine he has escaped from juvenile prison and is after me." I replied playing with the strings on the pillow I have pressed against my chest.

"Tell me what happens." She said adjusting her glasses.

"Well I start at my house and it's almost bed time so it's dark out and I'm in my room and there's a knock on the door. So I go down stairs and open it. And there he is just standing there. So immediately I scream and run out the back door of my house. The whole time he chases me. Then somehow I end up at the school run in and screaming through the halls. And just when he gets close Hannah and the rest of the school show up and I'm completely surrounded and then one by one they all hit me yelling out how many points they got until I black out. Then I wake up sweaty and breathing heavy." I say playing with the string on the pillow the entire time.

"Mhmm," she says scribbling something down like my dream gave her much insight into my life.

"How is everything else going like at home and with friends." She asks staring at me.

"Well I've made friends 2 actually Nate and Jessica. They are both really great and nice to me. Home life is fine other than the fact that my parents are never around. Walking into an empty house everyday is depressing."

"Oh that reminds me I need to go to the store." I said making a mental note to go right after school.

"Well I am glad you are making friends. That is all the time we have left today. I will see you next week." She said with a smile.

I quickly set the pillow to my right on the small couch and got up. I grabbed my bag and raced out the door.

School would end in about 5 minutes so I might as well get a head start and leave. I reached my car as the final bell rang and was out of the parking lot by the time students started emerging from the school. Straight to the store I went.

Pulling into the price chopper parking lot it looked like it was dead inside. Perfect. I grabbed a cart and started making my way towards milk.

I was almost done with my list. I only needed cereal. Turning into the aisle I freeze in my spot. I know she said she wasn't mad at me but basically I sent her son away, so I would hate me. I know she said I could call her for anything, but come on let's be real I can't.

"Rachel!" A squeaky voice yelled from down the aisle and pulled me from my thoughts. Readjusting my eyes I wanted to cry when the cutest little girl ever came into view.

Before I knew it she was latched onto me. I knelt down in front of her and tears nearly started pouring from my eyes. "Princess." I whispered with a smile causing her smile to grow even wider. She wrapped her arms around my neck and squeezed very tightly.

When she pulled away she had a pout on her face. "You said we would hangout. You promised." She said tears brimming at her eyes.

"I know and I've just been busy and I forgot." I said before she cut me off.

"But you promised!" She yelled and poured again. By this point Mrs Herron had almost reached us.
