40: Here we are now

A few weeks later...
I am ok. I feel better than before. Discharging myself from the hospital and i took all my things in a price slice bag and headed out the hospital. I smiled. I am stronger now and i can get rid of all theses horrible people and start over in the brand new november even though it has been november for a long while. And I couldn't forgot that soon the wedding of joel and ellie was soon to come. Living back also with my brother, james was just what I liked and it's all I could do.
"Are you sure you will be ok all on your own in the flat today?" James asks me.
"Of course I will be just get yourself to work, I will be fine" I smiled. James was off for weeks looking after me.
"Ok, ok I will leave you be but you need to call me" he says and I nodded. I couldn't face anyone right now. Reason why? I felt ashamed. My whole time of being here in Holly oaks wasn't how I expected, I thought it would be a lot more easy than this but at the moment this place it isn't seeming like home. Any way the wedding was in a couple of weeks and there was nothing I could do about myself.
I got a call from ellie at just that moment too.
"Hello, nic i know it's been a while but i need a favour" ellie smiles.
"Ok what's that?" I asked.
"I know you got out of hospital and all but i really wanted to ask if you could join me and the bridesmaids maybe for the dresses and i was wondering if we could book the dog?"
"Whoa ellie i think i managed everything you said"
"Hey! That better be a joke!"
"Don't worry it is" i smiled.
"Great, well i was wondering if i could stop by?"
"Oh today?"
"Is that a problem?"
"Definitely not, I need all the company I can get"
"Ok great I won't be long" she says and rang off.

"Ok we need a catch up because all we have had is small talks about my wedding" ellie laughed.
"Which is why I should have told you this before, so I know things were going so well for me and kim right?" I began.
"Yeah, you and her were all good, she proposed to you in the hospital, you and kim a strong couple" ellie grins but she seen my face fall. "What? What happened?"
"Me and kim are over" I muttered.
"Sorry, I couldn't hear that?" She asked.
"Me and kim are over" I said loudly. "So I thought like you did, I thought she was the one, the girl who I would finally be happy with but in the end what happened? She cheated on me. Like any other person who has been cheated on the usual thoughts came to my mind" I sighed.
"Oh nic I am so sorry you never desevred it at all, and her loss you know" ellie shrugged. "I suppose, well I guess me and James have a lot in common than we already do" I replied. "Any way look at me ruining the good time we should be having a laugh or something".
"Nicole Nightingale, as a good friend I need to look after you and to have serious convos and sometimes even laughs but seriousness comes first" she smiles. I smile back.
I hug her and thanked her for a great understanding, that is why I love ellie and why she is my best friend.

Later that day after some more talking with ellie and her soon having to go, I decided to go to the dog and james was a little late home today, in confusion it was all quiet, but why? I went upstairs there was people shouting. I run into the rooms looking at each on finally finding them. Oh. My. God. It happend, it had happend again. There he was my dad standing near james he had been beaten.
"You stay away from him dad!" I yelled. "You vile, harmful bitch!"
"Oh nicole you know i was there for you everday at that hospital, i made sure you were always ok, because I CARED about you, and james?" He laughed. "He desevred every bit of it".
"And you don't stop to care about James, HE DOESN'T DESERVE THIS DAD! Since when did you think that violence was such a good answer!"
"Like I said he deserves it no matter what, don't you all see it, or you think he is the innocent one!" He yelled. "You all need to learn the right people from unwanted to wanted!"
"That is it!" I cried. I stepped forward but instead,It all happend so fast ellie rushed with so much anger pushing dad so harshly the window smashed and he feel out on to the dog car park. All of us in horror and no one moved...
