3: saddness

There was a knock at the door as me and james where relaxing so john paul still must have been working. So i went get up but james stopped me.
"I will get it" he says.
"Hello james" she say.
"Mother nice to see you" he says gritting his teeth.
"So how you settling in darling?" Mother asks as she ignored james' tone.
"Amazing mother i love it so much here" i said. "And with james help i got the job i wanted!"
"Yes well james has always got a charm" mother says.
"No i think most people are more or less scared" he sighed.
"Oh well then i don't know what is wrong with you james today but that temper of yours" mother snaps. "Any way i am going now see you later darling"
"Bye mother" i said and she left.
"James why where you being like that with mum?"

"A lot of things mum has done to upset me nicole" he snapped.
"Tell me!" I demand.
"Ok well she got back with mac and before then she sleeped with freddie" he tells me. "Ellie's boy friend."
"What but why that's just awful!" I cried in disgust.
"It's don't act differently to nic she will only feel worse" james said.
"Fine i won't" i sighed.
"Hello you two acting all secretive" john paul jokes.
"Not now john paul mother came over" james said.
"James why did you invite her in?" John paul asks.
"She stormed in to see nic" he sighed.
"You don't know what your mother has been doing" john paul says to me "do you?"
"I do now james told me how dare she do that!" I said.
"That's that she is like now she is not always like she used to be" james said.
"Oh she has changed alright i can see right through her already" i sighed.

The next day i get a text from nathan then i remembered i forgot to meet him!
Hey nathan sorry about missing out mum came over and i lost track of time please forgive me i will meet you after work xx
I send the text as he replies in seconds: wow my older sister has a job then see you after work for sure at the bean 4pm? X

Sounds great see you there little bro xx
I am smiling now. I can't wait to see him after work.

"So i want to marry lisa you know i feel like it's the right thing to do" nathan tells me.
"Hold on nathan you really want to do that?" I asked.
"Why not i mean it's worth a try" he shrugs.
"Ok but no matter what happens i'm Here for you" i said and give him a quick hug.
"Thanks sis you know the right things to say" he smiled and went to go out of the bean.
"Good luck" i called.
I really hope she says yes seeing nathan hurt is like me being hurt.

Weeks past by and before i know it we are near the end of febuary and nathan was now happy he had a little problem with lisa but hopefully she would say yes this time.
I was waiting all day for nathan to call it was my day off and james was having a really busy day. Him and john paul had a few on off moments this week due to this fin person james is helping i don't know who he is but still.
"Come on nathan!" I cried at least call.
"Hello a bit furious aren't you?" James asks wearly.
"Oh james you ok?" I cried and john paul also comes in.
"James oh you alright" john paul said.
"Will you both don't ask me!" He snaps. We both go quiet james phone goes off and we stand there looking at him.
"Hello" he answers. "Yes this is james speaking".
"Yeah ok thanks bye"
He rang off.
"James?" I question.
"Nathan he's d...dead" he says.
"No it can't be true" i said.
"It's true the phone call says it all is that who you were annoyed at?" He asks.
"I was texting him all day!" I cried.
"He fell out of the open space where his room is i'm sorry nic" he said.
I rush up to james and hug him. He was a great brother and he is here for me when i need him the most.
"Oh james" i sobbed.
"Come on nic you look exhaused too get some sleep" he said. "I'm here for you if you need me"
"Yeah i guess thank you good night" i said. Is this a dream or is it real?
