"...and here's the prescription!" The doctor forwarded the piece of paper after giving her the necessary instructions.

She took it, read it carefully and finally looked up at her with a hesitant smile.

"Ok doctor! But...but you said that there were some possible complications in my pregnancy...is it...I..I mean, its not there anymore, right? My..my baby...she is fine...right?" She asked, her smile flickering as if afraid of her answer and eyes holding both fear and hope. Her left hand was already on her currently flat stomach while the right one held on the prescription.

The doctor sitting opposite to her smiled; this was her usual question at the end of her every appointment.

And she understands her! After all, even she went through the same phrase a couple of years ago.

"Its fine now, Khushi! I know I told you that you might experience some complications but it was because of both your poor mental and physical health!" Khushi had to look down at the mention of her earlier condition.

"All that..." The doctor sighed, "it was horrible and you know it! But I must say, the way you gathered yourself back for your baby...for him or her to be safe..it was commendable! And let me tell you that your hard work has paid off! After skimming through your test reports, I find no such big complication and I can assure you that your baby is healthy and safe! Just keep up with your current strength and you are all good!" She said and as she spoke, Khushi could only feel lighter and lighter as if a huge burden was lifted off her chest. She exhaled a sigh of relief and smiled at the doctor.

"Thank you so much, Dr. Maya!" She said in real gratitude and stood up gathering her test reports in her hands and after another exchange of smile, she walked outside the cabin feeling relieved as never before.

She smiled at the baby's pictures on the walls as she walked in the corridor. She couldn't help but picture herself and her baby in her mind, the thought itself was so peaceful.

How would it feel? Having a part of you in your arms who would become your entire world even before you know it... She questioned herself.

It would be magical... Answered her heart who was already swelling with motherly affection for her unborn.
