"Khushi, I know...I know that since the day we met, I gave you nothing but pain and humiliation but trust me...I was never happy after hurting you...your tears...they pierced my soul like a knife!! At first I didn't know what this feeling was...all I knew was that I'm losing myself to you! And that's why, I pushed you away but now I'm realising that it's impossible to do that! Because...because I love you! Yes...yes Khushi yes!!! I love you!!! Bohot pyaar karta hoon tumse! Itna ke ab tumse ek pal bhi door nahi raha jaata! So, Khushi Kumari Gupta, will you marry me? Here...in this same mandap!! Will you give me the honour of being your life partner? Will you light up my darkness filled life with your smile? Will you be with me...till the end of the time? (I love you a lot! So much that now I can't even stay a second without you!)" He asked with his hopeful eyes locked with her teary ones.
Her breath got stuck in some corner of her throat as she looked down at him who was kneeling in front of her and declaring his love for her in the presence of hundreds of guests.
"He loves me!!! HaiDeviMaiya...Arnavji loves me!!! My love...my love was not one-sided!! He loves me!!!!" Her heart cried in utter happiness and she bit back a sob.
She glanced at her family members who bobbed their head indicating her to say yes and then at Arnav who was waiting for her answer.
She lifted her trembling hands, lips quivered and tears of happiness spilled from her eyes as she slid her hand into his.
He smiled widely holding her hand and stood up and enclosed her in his arms.
She wrapped her hands around his neck and sobbed.
"I love you Khushi!" He whispered huskily hiding his face in the crook of her neck.
"I love you too, Arnavji!" She whispered back with the same intensity.
Breaking the hug, he held her hands and started moving towards the mandap where a few minutes ago, their siblings united.
Smiling through tears, the family members watched as two souls became one in the presence of the auspicious fire and blessings of everyone.
One month...
One whole month passed since they got married and life since then was like a fairy tale for Khushi. It was a month of complete bliss.
She always dreamt of a prince who would come for her...who would love her more than anything...who would treat her as the queen of his heart. And Arnav...he was exactly like that.
The beast she met that night in Sheesh Mahal was nowhere to be seen in him anymore.
Gone his rudeness...arrogance...anger and only and only love was there...
