She walked into the room with the jug of water only to be taken aback by the actions of her husband.

"Akash.." She whispered in surprise seeing him literally dumping their clothes in the bag hurriedly.

Keeping the jug on the table, she walked to him and glanced at the clothes stuffed in the bag.

"Akash, what are you doing? Why are packing the clothes like this?" She asked looking at him who was walking from the cupboard to the bag placed on the bed.

"We are going back to Delhi!" He said removing her saree from the hanger and stuffed it in the bag.

"What?? Akash, its past midnight and you want to return to Delhi??? And what about your meeting?? We were suppose to stay back here in Nainital for another two days, right?? Then??? What happened???" She asked all confused.

He closed the bag and placed his hands on it breathing heavily.

She frowned placing her hand on his shoulders, "Akash?"

She gasped when he lifted his bloodshot eyes to her.

"P..p..pa..yal...Payal, di has had a misc..miscarriage.." He croaked causing her eyes to go wide.

"Meghna, calm down! She'll be fine!" He said looking at his wife who was walking back and forth glancing at the ward at regular intervals. For a reason unknown to her, she was very worried for the girl behind those closed doors.

She stopped and looked at him, the lines of worry on her forehead didn't seem to cease, instead it deepened.

"But Amar, she was in such a bad-" she stopped seeing the doctor coming out.

They rushed to her.

"How is she now?" Both asked at the same time.

"She is fine! She fainted due to shock and stress and i have given her a mild sedative for her to sleep and rest! She'll be alright and yes, her baby is fine as well!" The doctor informed with a small smile.

They gasped at the information and looked at each other.

She was pregnant?! And alone at the road at such a time?!

"By the way, are you her parents?" They looked at the doctor who was waiting for their reply.

They gulped.

"No doctor! Actually we don't even know her! She was lying unconscious on the road, so..." Amar sighed.

"Oh!" Was all the doctor could say.
