After a much needed warm shower to get rid of her bursting headache, Khushi dressed up in her pale blue anarkali suit with minimal make-up and a simple pair of jhumkas before walking downstairs where Meghna and Payal were seated in hall.
Kabir must be dressing up for office, Bade papa must've already taken Ruhi to the park and Khwaish must have already left to meet her friend which she mentioned last night at the dinner table, she guessed looking at the clock.
It was past nine o'clock.
She sighed.
She had to get some more sleep in the morning, all thanks to her disturbed mind.
"Khushi?" She looked up from her thoughts when she heard the voice of Payal.
"Khushi, are you okay? Why were you sleeping till so late? We didn't wake up thinking you need rest but are you fine? And..and why do you look so pale?? Sab theek hai? (everything's alright?)" Payal bombarded her questions in pure concern, not giving Khushi any chance to speak.
"Shaanth ho jao Payal! (Calm down Payal!)" Meghna said, getting up from from the couch as she noticed Khushi trying but failing to say anything due to Payal's constant questions.
She walked to them when they both looked at her.
"What happened Khushi?" She asked, cupping the left side of Khushi's face.
Payal looked at Khushi, her eyes and facial expressions asking the same question.
Khushi shook her head holding her hand which was on her cheek,
"I'm fine Badi maa, Jiji..bas achanak se thodi ghabrahat horahi hai..(I'm fine Badi maa, Jiji..it's just that I am feeling a bit of nervousness all of a sudden..)" She finished with a slight frown.
Meghna smiled, "Its okay Khushi..hota hai aisa! Iss halat mein ghabarahat jaisi feelings mehsoos hona common hai! Tum fikr mat karo, aur tum bhi Payal, chinta ki koi baat nahi hai. (it's okay Khushi..it happens! Experiencing feelings like nervousness in this condition is common! You don't worry, and you also Payal, there's nothing to worry about!)"
Khushi nodded, and so did Payal.
Sighing, Payal turned back to Khushi,
"Acha, you have another appointment with the doctor, right? Come, today I'll accompany you!" She said and turned only to be stopped by Khushi.
"Its fine Jiji, I'll manage!" Khushi said, half closing her eyes.
"Khushi, I'm saying na..I'll come with you! Taylor is already with Khwaish, and I can't let you travel in taxis or any other public transport all alone. Not in this condition!" Payal repeated, adding sterness in her tone this time.
