The golden rays of sunlight seeped into the room, tapping directly on Khushi's closed eyelids. She groaned at the disturbance, hiding her face under the pillow, when she heard some noises. Frowning, she removed the pillow and opened her eyes, taking her time to adjust to the light.

"Arnavji?" She called, confused and still drowsy as she sees him getting ready, in his normal suit.

Arnav tied his tie, turning towards Khushi with a smile. "Good morning."

"Go-good morning." Khushi replied, still confounded as she hopped out of the bed.

"Where are you going?"

He took his coat, shrugging it on. "Office."

He buttoned the coat, turning to see Khushi standing and staring at him.

His eyes shifted side to side at her weird expression. "What?"

Khushi snapped back from her thoughts and shook her head sideways.

No.. Nothing..it's just..I mean..office?" She asked, unsure of what she heard.

Just yesterday he was afraid to attend a small get together and now, he is getting ready to go office?

Arnav smiled whilst he walked towards her.

"Khushi." He took her hands in his. "You told me that it was okay to be like ASR, right? That's what I'm trying to do, to be like him, to be my old self...and this time, with much more active brain cells." He let out a small chuckle.

Khushi stared at him, her lips curling into a proud smile and she nodded, squeezing his hands comfortingly.

"That's right." She whispered, smiling broadly.

Arnav reciprocated the gesture, inhaling as he took his hands back, to get hold of his laptop bag.

"I guessed you wouldn't like to come to office, but if you can then-"

"I'll be bored. And I'm sure you will need to handle some important issues there, me being there will only add up to that."

"You're not an issue Khushi."

He said, softly. Her heart fluttered at the palpable gentleness of his voice.

"Yeah. That's not what I meant, I was saying that you'll need to look after me when you would be already engaged in a pile of works." She said, not wanting him to debate for any longer.

He needs to go alone.

Arnav sighed. "That's not a problem either, that's a pleasure for me." He smiled down at her. She reciprocated with a nervous upturn of her lips.
