Khushi closed the bathroom door and walked to the mirror wiping her hair. She sat down and took the brush to entangle her tangled tresses.

She sighed finishing and took the towel again when she noticed a faint scar on the side of her forehead.

She touched it lightly as her mind drifting off to the haunting memories of the past.



























"Khushi!! Khushi open the door!!! Khushi!!" 

"Khushi..bitiya please open the door!!" 

"Garimaji get a grip on yourself please...Khushi!! Khushi, look, just open the door!! Now!!" 

Covering her ears with her palms, Khushi blocked the worried voices of her family members from reaching herself. 

"Just leave me alone!!! Why can't you guys understand....I don't want to talk to anyone!! Just go away!!!" Khushi screamed, falling on the floor with a thud. 

The room was scattered. Broken pieces of glass were spread on the floor as a result of her anguish turned anger. 

Her tears spilled from her eyes continuously as she sobbed pressing her hands against her ears more firmly. 


Why can't they understand that she can't take it anymore?! 

The pain...the pain stabbing pain in her chest was unbearable and she wanted freedom from it and not lifetime imprisonment. 

"Khushi.." 

She threw the vase against the mirror, shattering them into millions of pieces, but that also seemed less compared to the pieces of her broken heart, that was right now piercing through the flesh in her chest...to such a point that she felt it bleeding.

"Just go!!!!!" She tried to shout, but her voice broke and croaked.

She gave away to a fresh gale of sobbing, absent-mindedly noting the effect of each tear drop escaping her eyes. Crying was supposed to lessen her pain, but it was instead aggravating it.

Her breathing as well as her cries slowed down after a while, when she felt herself drained out of all the strength. Her world spinned and she felt lightheaded
