Arnav didn't know what to feel anymore. He felt something much akin to the pain of being burnt down alive. Each word of Preeto's revelation was like drops of acid, being poured one by one.. drop by drop on his eyes, burning the blindfold of ego, misunderstanding and hatred that was tied around them since the very beginning. And now behind the blindfold, his eyes saw the harsh reality smiling at him.

His hands trembled and the evidences that were rudely thrusted to him by an enraged NK fell on the floor noiselessly.

Evidence of Shyam's treacheries..

Evidences of his foolishness.. and

Evidences of Khushi's innocence...

His breath hitched, his eyes widened as he staggered back until his back hit the wall.

He vaguely heard the gasps of horror which broke across the hall and the thud sounds of bodies slumping down, finding no more courage to stand up on their feet as Shyam blurted out his misdeeds as NK pounced on him.

His own legs felt like noodles. His stomach churned and his head spun as the realisation hit him with an earth shattering force.

That he has been one big fool this whole time..

A fool who ruined his own happiness with his own bloody hands. A fool who yearned for love for so many years and then pushed that same love into the pits of fire when he found her. A fool who chose to believe a vile man's words over that angel's eyes which shone with love for him. A fool who destroyed an innocent's life..who kept on breaking her till she reduced to nothing but dust of pain, while claiming to have accepted her as the love of his life.

His love, which his so mercilessly crushed.. Khushi.

Her name brought a bitter pain to his pounding heart as one by one the realizations kept digging into his flesh like needles.

She was right...she was so damn right. It was him who was the culprit here. It was him who betrayed her and not not the other way. Yet he was living peacefully while she lived a living hell.

As he thought of her, he saw his surroundings growing dimmer. The noises turned gibberish before disappearing completely and he soon found himself in the middle of darkness and in front of him he saw an angel..he saw her.

Giggling freely in his arms. Her eyes squinted and her face glowed as she threw her head back laughing before hiding her face in his chest.

His eyes softened and his lips curved into a small smile but then he saw something similar to a storm which engulfed and her smile and she fell on the floor lifelessly, sobs racking through her body as she slapped herself back and forth.

His smile died and a current of sheer terror ran through his veins as he saw himself hurling abuses at an already shattered Khushi, breaking the broken pieces of her existence into even more pieces.
