Khushi gnawed at her lower lip whilst she took in her appearance. Her fingers fidgeted with the border of her saree, as she looked at the red color with resentment.

She couldn't refuse Arnav when he asked her if she'll go out with him. It's been only a few days since he has been responsive to the treatment, and the more he exits the confinement of his house, the better it will be for his health.

So here she was, dressed in his selection, for their day-out.

She didn't even know she had a red saree left. She thought she had burned them all. It was when Arnav had somehow fished it out from the closet that she saw it, the red saree...the one he himself had once bought for her.

"You look beautiful."

She turned to see Arnav, who stood by the french door, after completing his call with Aman.

His arms was crossed to his and though his lips were curved, his eye had a fairly serious look.

"Thanks." She forced out a smile, swallowing her displeasure as she took one last glance at herself in the mirror, before stepping towards Arnav.

"Shall we?"

The more she avoids mirrors, the more she will be free from flashbacks.

And this is exactly what she needs to get through this day.

Arnav didn't reply, he instead moved towards the closet.

"If you don't like that saree then you can change." He said solemnly.

He had guessed she didn't like the saree yesterday when he picked it. Her face was drained out of all colors. And today when he saw her looking at herself, the saree to be precise, with look of discontent, he didn't need more time to guess the reason.

It was the color, his favorite color, that caused that discomfort, that look of resentment.

Red.

He swallowed past the lump of pain.

"It's no issue, I understand."

He turned around to face her, only for her to look away, avoiding eye contact.

He let out a sigh, edging closer.

"Khushi, it's okay. You don't have to feel bad. If you don't want to wear this, then there's no pressure. Don't wear it." He said softly.

All he wants is her to be happy today, that's all.

Khushi looked at him, her nonchalant posture returning.
