This story is moving slow and its deliberately moving slow. In a story like this, where there is so much pain, betrayal, repenting, I can't just rush things around, otherwise the things the characters do will not make sense or some characters might just lose their importance. I need to show why things are happening the way they are, or else it will be you guys who will be agitated and confused.
And those who think Khushi is being heartless, take a second and think what she's been through, and then read this and think what she's willing to do despite all that.

The door made a low creak sound which seemed like an explosion in that prevailing quietness, as Shashi entered the dark room. His eyes darted in every direction, squinting to find his daughter or at least the light switch.
A switch besides the wardrobe and the end of a shawl flying in the air from the balcony caught his attention simultaneously and he slowly walked to the light switch first. The next second, the room was illuminated.
A small sound of irksome click of tongue from the balcony, fell in his ears and he smiled softly, walking up to his daughter who had gathered her shawl in her hands to turn and rebuke the person in her room.
"Babuji?" Her annoyance fell flat on the floor from her face and she settled back in her chair, looking at him quizzically as he sat in front of her.
"You didn't sleep yet?"
"You didn't either!"
Shashi smiled, seeing her shoulders slump in a tired gesture, a forlorn smile making it's way on her pale face.
"I was just tired. I'll get some sleep later, but for you it's important to sleep on time. Remember what the doctor said? You mustn't take any stress and should only relax!" Khushi said, trying to set his worries aside, for her and for her situation, lest she wants him to have another heart attack like the previous time.
She sighed inwardly, pushing back those flashes of him on the hospital bed and maintained that fake smile on her face.
"Hey, enough now! I already have too many doctors for you to become another one. Just like you, I wasn't feeling sleepy and therefore thought to see you, is it a crime?" Shashi said, faking offense to her words whilst she could only laugh at her dramatic father.
Khwaish and Ruhi's presence have got the best of him, she mused.
Hugging his arm, she rested her head on his shoulder, "Not at all!"
Shashi smiled, caressing her hair, like he used to do whenever she would be upset or missing her parents, giving her the comfort that she sought and advise that she needed.
