Julia's POV
I woke up to a dead silent house. No clanging of dishes, or microwaves beeping, or parents talking in quiet whispers. I tip-toed downstairs to find a muffin and a note waiting for me on the counter. As I took a bite of the pastry, I examined the note and realized it was my mom's writing.
Dear Julia,
Good morning. Hope you enjoy the muffin. Your father and I had to go out and will be gone all day. Why don't you do something with a friend. Do me a favor and call when you're awake. Have a nice day!
Love,
Mom
I set the note down and finished the last of my muffin. I called both of my parents' phones, but they must've been off. I knew why. They were meeting with the council...
? POV
I hadn't slept at all that night. I was too worried about EVERYTHING. Would anyone find out? How would I tell someone? Would I tell someone? I had laid in my bed, staring at the ceiling, until the golden sun began to squeeze its way under my window blinds. With all these questions jumping around in my brain, I got dressed and made my way downstairs. As usual, the house was empty. My parents were already at the training school, teaching young ninjas basic skills.
Then a thought hit me. Maybe if I could talk to the sorceress I could keep everyone from finding out! Determined with my plan, I ran upstairs for a change of clothes. I was about to do one of the most dangerous things a ninja could do: sneak into the sorcerers' "headquarters."
(A/N: Sorry if these have been kind of short. Like I said before, I'm new to Watt Pad and am getting used to average story length and what not. I'll try to make the next few longer. Until then, keep reading peeps! ^.^)
