Maggie's POV

The second the shadow disappeared, I was off running as fast as my feet would go. That was way over the top creepiness. Some dude went out of their way to get information about me and scare me. He even added effects and whatnot like making himself appear as a shadow! And worse still, somehow he knew I was faking being a sorceress.

So many thoughts were swirling around in my head that I almost ran past my street. I turned on to it and what do you know; Carly was sitting on my doorstep. "Dear god not now." I said under my breath.

Carly's POV

(A/N: Wow this is new XD)

I decided to wait for Maggie on her front steps. I could see in her eyes before she left that she knew I was going to question her; and I was going to do just that.

"Hello Maggie!" I called, and saw her roll her eyes. "Not pleased to see me?" "Not particularly. I know you're going to question me and I'm not in the mood." "Well good for you." "Does that mean you won't question me?" "NOT AT ALL!" I screeched in my Sensei Wu voice. "Dear god..." She muttered and I gave her a giant smile. "I'm the best." "No, no you're not." Maggie hissed. "And without further ado, let the questioning begin!" I yelled, and Maggie just face palmed repeatedly.

"So why were you just getting home at the crack of dawn?" I asked. "Why are you sitting on my door step at the crack of dawn?" Maggie countered. "You first." "No, you!" We went back and forth like that for a good ten minutes. "FINE!" I huffed. "But know this, Maggie Louis, I WILL find out what you're up to. I'll be watching... MWAHAHAHA!" She flinched a little but straightened quickly. "Yeah whatever. See ya Carly!" Then she stepped inside and shut the door.

Seth's POV

Surprisingly I got out of the hospital quite early. I had lost a lot of blood but I didn't have any extreme injuries. With magic and medicine on our side, I was in good shape after only a few days. However, the doctors said I did make a strangely fast recovery, even with the magic-medicine combo.

When I first got out of the hospital, I was given quite a nice surprise. My sister, Angélie, is home from whatever place she was studying in in the mountains. "Come sit with me." She said. And I sat besides her on the couch on my first day home. "Oh my poor, poor, dear..." She whispered as she hugged me gently. "Annnnn! I'm not five!" I said, trying to squirm out of her grip. "Oh Seth I know, but this is so terrible... And it's all my fault." And that shocked me. "Your fault? How? You were up in the mountains!" And then Damien came in, right on cue, and sat on my other side.

They told me everything; that Angélie was an angel, that the figure I met was a demon, and that something bigger was coming. And here I am now: walking along the outer edges of the park, pondering the events of the past few weeks; wondering how the heck I ended up in this mess.

"Oh! I'm so sor..." I blurted out after running into someone while looking at the ground. "Oh that's alright! It was my fault!" "No it was mi..." And then I looked up into the most magnificent pair of eyes I'd ever seen.

Her eyes were lilac! Lilac! With bright aqua blue flecks in them. I'd never seen eyes like hers. Then I noticed she saw me staring and we both blushed. "Umm sorry. I couldn't help noticing your eyes. They're unlike any I've seen before!" She giggled. "Thank you. They're strange, but unique. That's why I like them. I'm Sammy, by the way." "Seth. Is Sammy short for something?" "No. Just Sammy. So, Seth huh? That's not a common name, no?" "I guess not." I admitted. "It's a cute name. Hey, aren't you that poor kid from the forest?" I blushed again and nodded. "Unfortunately." I said. "Aww you poor kid! That must've been so rough on you and your family! Especially on your brother! I mean imagine the head council member with so much stress already and then that happens to his poor brother!" "Actually I think it was harder for my sister..." I murmured. "You have a sister too!? Man I wish I had siblings, but it's just me." She said, pursing her lips. I laughed. "You sure like to talk a lot." I said, smirking. "Haha yeah I get told that a lot. You know, you're a nice guy. Wanna get a coffee with me tomorrow? Lunchtime?" She asked. Stunned, I didn't know what to say at first. Then Sammy waved her hand in front of my face and snapped me out of my thoughts. "Hello? You awake?" She said, a smile forming on her lips. "Yeah. Sorry. I'd love to." I said, matching her smile. "Ok sweet. See ya around... Seth." Then she turned and waved, and I watched her walk off while her pony tail swung from side to side and I couldn't help but laugh.
