Maggie's POV

"Uhh..." I moaned.

I sat up rubbing my head. I was stuck in a pile of bodies. I jumped up and then almost fell over again. Stepping carefully over everyone, I made my way out of the little pit of people. I noticed that we were far away from the warehouse. Oh that's right, Azrael kicked us out.

I heard a groan and turned around. Sammy stood up from amongst the people.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Azrael kicked us out."

"Right. My head's a little fuzzy. I must've banged it against the ground or something."

"Yeah... Hey are you and Seth, well, together?" I asked nervously.

"No, but I hope we will be." Sammy said smiling.

I felt my heart sag a little, but I forced a smile.

"That's nice. You two are cute together."

"You know Maggie, thanks. I've never really had any good experiences with guys so I really hope I don't screw it up."

"I feel you. I can barely talk to a guy I like." I said, smiling.

This time the smile was real. Sammy may end up with Seth, but there'll be someone out there for me. And Sammy's a nice person so she doesn't deserve my hate.

"Hey let's wake the others!" I suggested.

"Ok."

"I need some payback on Julia!"

Sammy giggled. I couldn't help but feel this was the start of a new friendship.

Time Skip to after everyone is awake

"Did you really have to kick me that hard!" Julia whined, rubbing her leg.

"Yes. Yes I did." I answered.

"You suck."

"But you still love me."

"No."

"Awww..."

"Kidding! I can't stay mad at you Maggie."

She walked over, acting like she was going to hug me, then she kicked me back.

"Ow!"

"Revenge is sweet!" She sang.

"Ok that's enough!" Damien spoke up.

Everyone quieted instantly, but Sammy and I both stood there awkwardly.

"Ah, you two must be human. My name is Damien, I'm the leader of the sorcerers."

"Actually I'm a ninja!" I blurted out.

I saw Julia and Tara out of the corner of my eye face-palm.

"What?" Damien hissed.

"I'm, uh, a ninja." I gulped.

"Leave at once! This is sorcerer business!"

"Oh yeah? Then why was I kidnapped too?"

"Don't sass Damien!" A guard spoke up.

"Shut up!" Damien yelled. "What brought you into this?" He asked.

"I don't know! I was kidnapped just like Tara and Sammy!"

"Fine he huffed. But now you're going home!"

"Hell no!" Tara yelled.

"Not on your life!" Julia added.

"Why is that?" Damien scoffed.

"Because she's our friend!' Julia and Tara said together.

"And friends do anything for one another." Julia added.

"Besides," Seth added, "if the ninjas are involved, we'll have so much more power to defeat Azrael!"

I smiled at Seth, Julia, and Tara. I was so glad they backed me up and wouldn't make me leave that easily. There was no way I was going anywhere without a fight.

"Fine. I'll contact the head Ninja and see what he says. If it's a no, you're going home. If yes, you can stay. Those are my terms."

"Deal!" I said, shaking his hand.

"This is one for the record books." Julia said, snickering. "Maggie being the first ninja to strike a deal with a sorcerer."

"Whatever!" Damien hissed.

"C'mon Damien, we have more important things to do than fight with a ninja; like rescue our sister and her child." Seth pointed out.

"Yes you're right. Everyone, follow me."

Damien lead us to, surprisingly, his house. While he planned with the soldier sorcerers, Seth, Tara, Julia, Sammy, and I all talked in Seth's room. The five of us had some of our own ideas...
