Chapter 34 - Taken

Clary's POV

Seth, Maggie, and I were chasing after my mom, but she was too fast. We soon lost her in the confusing corridors of the mansion.

"Oh come one! I just want to get out of here!" Maggie complained, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well we must be close." I said hopefully.

"Let's just keep going." Seth said.

We continued down the long hallway. Rounding the corner, we ran right into Sammy and Azrael.

I felt an arm around my neck and I was pulled into Azrael's chest.

"Lemme go!" I yelled, trying to pull his arm off me.

Azrael smirked down at me and then nodded to Sammy.

"NOOOO!" I yelled, reaching out to Seth.

It was like slow motion. Our hands just barely touched and then I was gone. Away with Azrael as he teleported.

Angélie's POV

I burst through the doors into the cool morning air. Right outside was Julia, Tara, Carly, and... Damien?

"Girls! Are you ok?"

I ran up to them and they hugged me.

"Sammy trapped us! She's one of the demons!" Carly said.

"I know. I found Maggie, Seth, and Clary. They should be right behind..."

I turned behind me but the three of them were nowhere to be found.

"Uh oh..." I murmured.

"Angélie! Are you alright?" Damien said running over to me. "Where's Seth?"

"I'm fine Damien. I have to go find Seth again..."

"No. You're staying here." He ordered. "My soldiers will handle this. And the ninjas have been alerted and will be here soon."

"No way! I'm going back in there and you can't stop me!" I yelled, glaring at my brother.

"No you're not!"

"Uh! You might be my older brother Damien, but that doesn't mean I have to listen to you. I'm an adult you know." I said, turning away and crossing my arms over my chest.

Damien shook his head disapprovingly.

"I didn't want to do this." He said and snapped his fingers.

About a dozen or so guards surrounded me with tasers and handcuffs. I took a fighting stance and blue flames erupted around my hands.

One of them lunged forward and I blasted him away. Then another came forward and blasted a fireball from his hands at me. I ducked and shot a laser of light at him. It connected with a green laser of his own.

Hearing a few trying to sneak up behind me, I let my wings out so fast that they caused the sorcerers to stumble backwards and two of them fell. After only a few more minutes, all of Damien's guards that had come after me were down.

"I told you I'm not going anywhere." I snarled at Damien.

He shook his head again.

"I'm so sorry Angélie." He murmured.

Then I felt someone reach over my shoulder and touch my forehead.

"No!" I whispered, as the sleeping spell did it's work and my eyes slowly shut.

A/N

Hey guys! It's been a little while! First of all, I'd like to let you all know that school has started for me so I probably won't get to update as frequently. Don't worry, I won't forget about you guys, but it might be a longer time period between my updates than over the summer.

Secondly, unfortunately we didn't get to 1,000 reads by today, August 31, so there won't be a chapter every day next week. But you know what? That's totally alright. I'm just happy that you guys are continuing to read my story and enjoying it. Maybe I'll set another goal some other time, who knows. But thank you for the continual support.

Finally, I think I'm going to need some Original Characters. So if you have an interest in creating an OC, I'll post the details as soon as I decide who I'll need as characters so keep an eye out for that post. If I don't get enough OC's in time I'll just create my own.
