Seth's POV
I wasn't aware of much. Every once in a while my eyes flickered open and I'd catch a glimpse of people in white cloaks, but other than that I slept deeply.

FLASHBACK A FEW HOURS AGO
----------------------------------------------
Angélie's POV
I landed on the roof balcony and ran down the stairs into the house, still carrying Seth. "Damien! Damien where are you! Seth's dying!" And that sent him running. He ran around the corner so fast from who knows where that he almost knocked me over.
I laid Seth down on the couch. "Call an ambulance." He ordered. I nodded and ran to get my phone. As I came back, Damien was bandaging Seth's wound and was trying to give him medicine. "He barely has a pulse..." Damien said absentmindedly. "I know... I checked." He turned to face me and engulfed me in a hug. I hadn't realized I'd begun to cry.
"Hey An?" "Yes?" "Since when do you have wings?" Shoot. I forgot to make them disappear. "Um... I think it's time you knew. I'm not a sorceress; I'm an angel. That's how I still have magic. I have a natural feeling deep inside me to be good, and when I dream, I see reality. That's where I went. I saw Seth in a dream while I was away. He was in danger. Then on the way home I saw him in a clearing in the woods while I was asleep on the train. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't want Him to come after you guys, but He already found Seth."
I felt a lone tear slip from my eye and I tucked my head into Damien's shoulder. "It's ok An. I just wish you would've told us. And who's He?" "The devil himself. He leads a group called the Shadows. Their purpose in life is to collect as much magic as possible and make it black magic. Then they set out to kill every angel in existence. If angels aren't there to stop demons, they can take over the world." Damien nodded. "Don't worry. This'll get better. And considering they did this to Seth, they WILL pay."
Our conversation was cut short as the sound of an ambulance filled our ears and grew progressively louder. I picked Seth up again, this time with Damien's assistance. "Uh... You may want to hide those..." Damien said, motioning towards my white, feathery wings. I nodded and had them disappear. The amazing sense of magic I had felt disappeared with them.

END OF FLASHBACK

Julia's POV
Tara and I walked up the stairs to the council hall. Nervously, we knocked on Damien's office door and waited silently. A nice looking lady with blonde hair and glasses opened the door. "I'm Damien's secretary." She said. "May I help you?" "Yes. We actually need to see the head council member. It's urgent." Tara said. I nodded in agreement. "I'm sorry. He has some extremely tragic family issues right now. Can I get you an appointment for another time?" "Uh, no thanks. We'll come back another time." "Alright then. Have a nice day girls." "You too!" We chorused, and she shut the door.
"Family issues? I didn't even know Damien had any family around here!" Tara said. "He has a younger brother and I've heard he has a sister but I'm not positive." "Huh... Well what should we do then?" "Get some food." I said, and Tara laughed. "No seriously. I'm starving." Then the two of us laughed harder and left the building.
