Maggie's POV
As soon as the words left my mouth I wanted to face palm instantly. How could I have been so stupid and let that slip? "Idiot!" I silently swore at myself under my breath.
I suddenly felt eyes on me and lifted my head. Both Tara and Julia were staring at me in disbelief, confusion, and shock. Here goes nothing. Completely ignoring my original plan, "I'm the ninja who saved you!" I blurted out and then instantly slammed a hand over my own mouth. "IDIOT!" I swore, a little louder this time.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I looked up. My eyes met Julia's crystal blue ones, which I noticed, sparkled mischievously. She opened her mouth to say something then stopped, hesitating momentarily. "Well then all I have to say is thanks. You're the best!" Julia said, a smile breaking out on her face. I turned, surprised. She thought I was awesome? A ninja? Now it was my turn to look shocked and confused. "I agree." Tara said. "That's so cool that a ninja would go out of their way to help a sorcerer; especially 'cause we're supposed to be like enemies or something..." I nodded. "Well... Is there any chance we could, I don't know, be friends?" I asked, afraid that they would deny my request. "I don't see why not!" Tara said joyfully. "However there is the matter of you being a ninja and the two of us being sorceresses..." Julia pointed out. "Let's make a meeting place then." Tara suggested. "How about the middle of town by the fountain, every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday to meet for lunch?" "Sounds great!" Julia and I chorused. "Well it's settled then. Except, I was wondering, is it possible not to let anyone know I saved you? I mean, it could cause a lot of... Issues..." I said, trying to put it delicately. "Uh, about that..." "The council already knows!" Tara blurted out. Julia looked relieved that she wasn't the one to tell, but at the same time nervous about what I might say. "Oh jeez... This complicates things a bit..." The other two girls nodded in agreement. What are we gonna do now?
Damien's POV
(A/N: Surprise! Didn't expect that did ya?)
I watched as one of the officers ushered Mr. and Mrs. Azura back into the council hall. I could see the nervousness, clearly plastered, on Mrs. Azura's face. Mr. Azura's face, however, was expressionless; unreadable.
I took a moment while they got settled to look around the hall. The council meetings took place in a magnificent domed building with elegant stained glass murals of sorcerers, sorceresses and magic on all sides and even the roof. Light streamed through each window, casting incredibly beautiful shades of all colors in existence around the room. Everywhere you turned, colors bounced off the cream walls.
The slight chatter died instantly as I stood. "The council has reached a decision... Due to possible conflicts, to put it light and brief, with the ninjas, this matter will not be further discussed. However, if such an event should arise again, especially pertaining to the same young sorceress named Julia Azura, we will have to take further actions and call upon the ninja council to sort this out. If anything else like this happens again, suspiciousness is advised and the event should be reported to MYSELF immediately. I thank you all for coming today. Dismissed!" As I finished, clapping filled the room, echoing off the high ceiling. As I was being escorted along with the rest of the council from the room, I saw relief spread across Mrs. Azura's face and even a small smile creep onto her lips. My work here was done. Hopefully no more "incidents" like this will arise.

A/N
So just to let you all know, Azura means "Blue Sky" in French, which is why Julia has a blue cloak... And because I wanted her to have a blue one... Anyway, leave some questions in the comments about me that you'd like to know. This way, you can get to know me a bit. However, I will not give out any info like age, where I'm from, exc. (Yeah I'm just like that. Sorry) Anyway, hope you've been enjoying the story so far! :)
Keep Reading Peeps!
