Tara's POV

I told my sister to go home and sat with Julia on the swings. "So what's bugging you?" I asked. "What? What makes you think that?" She answered all too quickly. "You're pale, you answered too quickly, and you look like you've been thinking about something." I looked over at her and saw she was looking off in a random direction. "Sorry, what?" "Exactly." I said. "Now spill." She sighed and told me everything, including that she figured her parents went to see the council today.

At the end of the story I just sat there staring. "What?" Julia asked. "That's awesome! You actually met a ninja up close not in some battle against something!" She just looked at me with her blue eyes like I was crazy. Then a smile jumped on to her lips. "I'm glad I'm not the only one!" She yelled. "Only one what?" "That thinks it's cool I met a ninja... Well, sort of anyway." I smiled. "It's neat. We should find him or her and become friends!" At this her face fell. "How will that work? I mean it's a cool idea but we can't even go into the ninjas' side of town! Let alone befriend one." "Point taken, point taken." Then we both sat quietly, deep in thought. Little did we know the very ninja we were discussing had the exact same plan and was less than 5 minutes away...

Maggie's POV

At this point, I cringed at every snap or crack made by the dry branches and leaves all around me. A ninja is supposed to be sneaky and quiet; not make a loud, obnoxious, probably heard by everyone, sound every step they take!

I finally reached the edge of the woods and found myself looking at a park. A sigh of relief escaped me now that my trek of terror was finished. Ok, so it wasn't really a trek of terror but it was extremely annoying to make so much noise when I wasn't used to it. I looked across from the tree line and scanned the playground. Kids were running and screaming all over the place! Then my eyes spotted a familiar sapphire blue cloak. It dazzled in the sun and I found the face of who was wearing it. It was the same sorceress from that night.

My heart leaped in glee. I didn't think it would have been that easy. I got a good look at her face. She had pure blue eyes that sparkled when light hit them and dark brown hair that fell in waves and curls down her back. Her companion had lighter brown hair that hung straight and elegantly and Hazel eyes that seemed to change colors.

As I was about to leave the tree line, I realized how out of place I would look here. Everyone had some kind of cloak or cape and I was dressed in a camo ninja suit. Also, once they learned I couldn't do magic I would really be in for it. This would be harder than I thought...
