(Kenzie's Pov)
I walked along the street alone. I looked around for supplies. Ever since the zombies appeared. They took over our world and our lives.
I came back into the PIE base. I seen maddy cutting her sisters hair. "Abba Stop fighting it! You have to cut it or you will get grabbed!" She yelled at the little girl who was now crying.
Sebastian stared wishing he had another chance to protect his little sister. Jason lost everything infront of him.
I lost my mother and father. My grandmother was the first to go then my mom. I stayed with my dad for awhile until he died. He was bitten.. I had to kill him.. I shot him...
Flashback!
Me and my dad walked down the street as I held his hand. I had a gun in my hand looking around. I noticed a hoard coming towards me. My dad and I started running until an arrow shot him in the leg. My eyes widened as he fell down. I grabbed his hand helping him not before he was bitten on his arm. I didn't know until an hour later as he told me what happened.
"Dad no! You can't leave me like mom like Grandmother!" I yelled crying. I had lost everything I loved.
When my dad turned I shot him walking out of the house and never looking back. That day I lost every emotion I had. Showing my emotions made me weak. I had fought on as a killing machine not a human girl anymore.
Flashback End
I heard a scream and I turned around to see Jason having a scared look. He's the one who looks out for our base. "Zombies approaching!" He yelled. I grabbed my katana as I stared at the gate as it slowly got hit down. Maddy held her sister close as she held a gun. Sebastian held his gun. Jason had a shotgun he stared shooting them. As the gate fell I cut a zombies head off. Everyone attacked as I cut another zombie apart.
Blood splattered everywhere as I heard abba scream. "Damn it!" I yelled as I turned around seeing maddy being eaten. I ran towards Maddy's sister as I cut a zombie apart. I grabbed her hand. She was 6 years old and had just witnessed her sister be killed and eaten. Sebastian picked her up as Jason shot behind us as we ran out of there. I seen an arrow fly down as it hit Jason in the head. "Jason!" Sebastian screamed. As the zombies ate his body. We kept running as fast as possible. Another arrow came down hitting abba. "MACKENZIE!" She cried as she closed her eyes. Sebastian dropped her as we ran towards the abandoned building.
We boarded up the door as I noticed Sebastian staring down at his arm.
"Sebastian" I said. As he looked up tears in his eyes.
"I'm bitten I won't live to see the day this is all over Kenzie.." he said tears slowly slipping down his face.
I looked at him emotionless. I have lost everyone I ever cared about.
"Sebastian. It's oka-" I went to say before he cut me off.
"MacKenzie! Kill me! I don't wanna turn please! I beg of you!" He yelled crying.
I stood up grabbing my katana.
"Sebastian.. I'm sorry.. I have been a bad person.."
"You have always been a good person in my eyes.." he said crying as he looked down at the bite.
"I'm glad I could be a good person for you!" I said as I smiled at him. The first time in years I have showed someone some type of emotion.
"Goodbye Sebastian.." I said cutting his head off with my katana.
I kneeled next to his body.
"Your with your family now.." I mumbled as I busted through the door. As I walked over I cut my throat.
