It had been a year since the outbreak. Now people prepared by creating 3 major groups.
The scavengers The Guards And The Farmers! The kids are taught about each group and are taught from a young age how to do things in these three groups. By the age of 15 they pick a group and go to that district by cart!
Today I stood with my friends in training for the first group. I'm 12 right now! MacKenzie was 13 Sebastian was 12 and Jason was 12 as Well! Jay was 14 the oldest of our group. These three age groups were put together in a class to train in.
Today we learned how to kill animals and scavenge for supplies.
Kenzie always wanted to join the scavengers! I was willing to follow her as was all of our other friends in Pie.
"FIRST! Whoever finds the Tomato first wins the competition!" Our teachers said as we all darted towards the fence. It was set up as a training course for us to practice.
I ran forwards searching around for the tomato. I looked everywhere I could possibly think to look! Sebastian searched through the pond. Kenzie skillfully jumped through the trees. I searched the ground as Jason slowly lifted rocks. Jay followed Kenzie and climbed through trees.
I seen Kenzie jump out of a tree and run to the teacher placing the tomato in his hand.
"ATTENTION! MACKENZIE TATTARAN FOUND THE TOMATO! REPORT TO THE NEXT ACTIVITY!" Our teacher yelled as everyone ran to the next part.
"Now! We are going to be spotting an enemy! This man will be dressed as a zombie! Make sure you have good eyes and you will be able to pass this!" He yelled as everyone stood on the wall looking around.
Jason stared Intently into the trees scanning around at a careful pace not to miss anything. Kenzie stared into the bushes staring into each one of them. I looked all over everything trying to see him.
Jason yelled "THERE I SEE HIM! Behind the tree!"
The teacher spoke out and said Jason Tutton had won this challenge.
"Next up is gardening! Whoever can make a garden in your plot that will be given to you will win the challenge!" Our teacher yelled as we all set to work.
I carefully organized my garden planting flowers in a row. I added some vegetables in the back watering everything. I carefully planted everything I could.
A few months later we would finish this test and be judged on how well we did.
So we waited in our dorm. I stayed with MacKenzie Sebastian Jason and jay in one big dorm.
Today was the day we walked through the gardens! I was excited! Also very very nervous!
I walked behind the teacher in a line as we stopped at the first persons garden!
