(Mackenzie's Pov!)
I sat quietly in the tree awaiting the signal. Jonas and his group should be coming through. After Sebastian did more research he found out that Jonas is working with a revolutionary group.
They plan to overthrow the king. We can't let them. "Here's a good place to camp. I don't expect them to find us here." Jonas spoke. I looked down watching a group sit down.
"How'd the surgeries go?" A girl asked Jonas making him laugh. "Insanely well! They even fixed my back. It barely scarred." He spoke looking down but quickly looking back up laughing some more.
"They said it should improve my abilities but I haven't got to test them! They said my senses should go way up!" Jonas laughed.
"Your crazy." Lexi spoke as tony walked over. Wait.. those two are already in a squad here! They weren't strong enough to make Sebastian's squad.. but they are traitors too..
Who can you trust.. they are all liars! "William? Did you get the firewood?" Lexi asked as she stood up staring at him. My eyes widened hearing that familiar voice.
"Yeah, Don't worry." He spoke as I sat frozen. An Ex boyfriend.. we broke up because he said his job didn't allow love.. we worked in the same place.. I understand now.
He was a traitor. Forget my feelings. I have people to care about now. I decided who I was loyal to a long time ago!
Jumping down now is risky.. Jonas has the rest of his puppets too.. but it makes him weak to use them all.. to hold their souls makes him weak just in general..
Imagine if he didn't have any puppets at all! He'd be a lot stronger considering his strength now..
"GO IN!" Sebastian screamed as I gasped. Well fuck. Guess I'm going down there.
I jumped down landing behind Jonas. He tensed up before quickly jumping away not even looking back to see who I was.
He turned around now that everyone else was occupied with someone else. "I see.. you have been planning this for awhile. You even prepared a weapon." He spoke as he raised his blade with a smug look on his face.
"COME FORTH!" He screamed as a huge flash appeared blinding me. I shielded my eyes waiting for it to disappear.
I looked forwards seeing Maddie, Doya, And Natala standing behind him.
"Maddie.." I whispered as he laughed. "Sadly, Maddie is gone. She's my puppet now. She doesn't react." He laughed. "I only have problems with them sometimes remembering their old life and getting held up! It usually doesn't last long!"
"Natala. Doya. Go kill Emily and Sebastian! Maddie take down MacKenzie!" Jonas commanded as his puppets obeyed.
Maddie rushed forwards slicing at me. I dodged quickly. She was fast! "FULL POWER MADDIE! NOW!" Jonas yelled as she got faster.
I dodged and blocked but she was still going! Does she not get tired! Of course not! She's dead!
I have to do something before she kills me..! Wait..! I have an idea! "Maddie! Your in there somewhere! What of your sisters killers! What of all the kids you promised you'd take care of back at the orphanage!" I yelled as the puppet paused.
Tears began slipping down her face as she stumbled. "MADDIE! NO! REACTIVATE! NOW! KEEP FIGHTING!" Jonas commanded as Maddie hesitated.
I wasted no time leaping forwards stabbing into her heart. Tears slipped down her face as she hit her knees.
