I looked down at my feet feeling Completely uneasy. I hated this. After our school sold us we have been in this challenge. It was rough.. I don't even know how long I'll survive.
Only the strongest kids can survive and be part of the squad. As of now the few people alive that I know of are myself, Emily, Maddie, Jonas, Sebastian, and Jason. I wish I knew what to do.
I can't protect anyone. I've watched many people die along the way. Including a few of my good friends.. Taylor and Tyler.. Natalie.. it's sad.. I cared about them.. but they died a while ago. I've tried looking forwards and ignoring my past. There's no point on looking back.. I've tried convincing myself that but it's hard to move on.
Flashback-
"Taylor! Really! Give it back!" Tyler yelled as he chased her around. I smiled slightly as he tripped and hit the ground.
"No way! Your not getting this!" She said as she held his favorite hoodie. "Your so evil!" He yelled. "Haha! I know!" She said as she threw it at him. He caught it and fell to the ground laughing slightly.
"You guys are ridiculous." I said as they looked over. "Hey!" They yelled at the same time.
"Do you think we will survive this war?" Taylor asked with a serious look on her face. "Of course!" Tyler said as he sat up putting his hoodie back on.
"We have too." I said as I slowly stood up walking closer to them. "Your right." Taylor said as they both turned to me and smiled.

"We still have to find our parents." Taylor said looking over at Tyler.
"Why." I said.
"Huh? You don't want to find your parents MacKenzie?" Tyler asked.
"Why would I. They gave me up and left me to this school." I said.
"..but.. they are still your parents." Taylor said. "I could careless. I only have enough room in my heart to care about certain people.. and I chose those people when I was left here." I said as they frowned.
"Don't worry! We will always be here for you." Tyler said. "Yeah. Don't even worry about it! We can all stay alive until this war ends then we can disappear." Taylor added.
"Yeah, Thanks Guys." I said as Taylor smiled. "Don't worry. We always have your back."
Flashback End-(Time-Skip!)
The few elite kids have been picked. The people that are still alive..

How did I survive.. that doesn't matter. We were all in a squad. Sebastian was the leader. He made good decisions in rough situations. It was hard to trust him at first but now I know I can trust him.
