Police Officer Sandford West, 22, and his partner Police Officer Andrew Quest, 22, were in the midst of the woods.

They were chasing a criminal when the phone call came in: "THIS IS CRYSTAL LAKE PD, MISSING KIDS AT CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE. PLEASE CALL IN A 536. CAN YOU READ, OVER"; a 538 was a dead body. They shook their head. Edwardo Santamaria, a South American drug trafficker, was running. He had had been running for a long time. And he happened to run into the deep, dark woods; he was so deep that he didn't notice he was in Jason Voorhees's woods; Santamaria just kept running, and didn't stop until those Crystal Lake cops were lost.

"WE'LL TAKE THE CALL ONCE THIS IDIOT IS ARRESTED, OVER", Police Officer West said, "over", he squaked over the Police radio.

"Ten-4, out", the radio man said, at the Crystal Lake Police Station.

Sandford used a .9mm gun, and ran with his partner into the woods. Santamaria was fast-he wasn't that fast. He trudged towards the road. Up ahead, he saw logs on the road. They caused an obstruction; they were preventing any escape. Santamaria ignored it and ran. He was out of breath-but he made sure he was running. And, for him, the need to run was paramount. In Brazil he knew the Police were going to kill him...Now, because of the drugs he imported to the US, he was wanted in two countries...Santamaria ran...and ran...and ran...he ignored exhaustion....
