CRYSTAL LAKE DINER,
9 PM
Harlan was eating a hot, cherry pie. He savored the taste. And yet he was disturbed. On the TV he saw a pretty female reporter saying on Channel 4:
...."Reports have filtered through tonight that a new group of teenagers and counsellors have been brutally murdered at Camp Crystal Lake at the hands of killer Jason Voorhees. Dax, the Head Counsellor, who poured $1 million dollars of his own private money, to promote the notorious camp, has been missing; Dax's girlfriend, Jill, the Assistant Camp Counsellor, is presumed dead, along with several new campers...After Ellie Weiss murdered the camp's most infamous killer last year, who is murdering the group this year? If Jason Voorhees isn't really dead, why has he come back? Revenge, or something else? In either case, the future of the camp is now in serious doubt"....
Harlan was shaking.
"Anne, Get me some coffee". He said to the Waitress. Anne didn't smile. Harlan took out $10.00 for the cherry pie and coffee.
As she poured, she said: "Damn rich people tryin' to inject money into that damned camp. Y'see, Harlan, God is punishing the sinners this year. And God doesn't like anyone who sins there. That camp is evil-and must be closed. Otherwise, more deaths shall happen", Annie said, as she poured Harlan his hot coffee....
