The rumor spread like wildfire when Deepika started declining roles in major films and adjusting her endorsement deals. She didn't want to completely stop working but it was time to dedicate a little more to her personal life.
And that is how a few weeks later she and Ranveer attended a friend's movie screening and they weren't hiding it anymore. Her dress wasn't very revealing but didn't exactly hide her swelling bump. They went in and out through a back door but the media always found a way to get to them. They just walked to their car with big smiles, holding hands. No interviews were given and they didn't stop for their photos to be taken. They waited until the next morning to have their managers deal with the media. "It is confirmed! Deepika is pregnant!" read the headlines and candid pictures were all over the net.
Unknowing friends, fellow actors and acquaintances showered them with congratulatory messages. Some even sent gifts for their unborn child. It was out, everybody knew and a huge weight was lifted off their shoulders.

Boy or girl, it didn't really matter but they did have a preference; Ranveer wanted a choti Deepu and Deepika a chota Ranveer. She wanted a boy and then a girl, so the boy would look after his little sister, and the rest just for fun. She would have liked for their parents to have another child but they didn't, that's why she thought the more the merrier. As for Ranveer, he just wanted a mini version of his Queen, a little princess.
Deepika had no idea being pregnant would be so much fun. The morning sickness was terrible at the beginning and she used to get very tired but she felt better now; better and hungry all the time. She cooked and ate, and cooked and ate, and slept and cooked, and cooked and ate. She even had time to do things around their house she didn't have time to do before.
It took her some time to get used to not being busy almost 24/7, she worked here and there, little things, shows and stuff, no movies and definietly not as much as before. But after a while, it felt good to have some peace, to have the pace of her life slow down a little bit - now that it could - because it is only going to get busier with their baby...
She didn't have to wake up early every morning but she did anyway, whenever Ranveer did, to eat breakfast together. Morning, nights and weekends were all they had. She missed working with him but this was good too, better than those days when they were only dating and saw each other a few times a week. At least now he was home every night.
He held her close in bed one of those nights. It was a Saturday night, they had a doctor's appointment early that day. He went with her and the doctor told them everything was perfect and they were happy, and then he revealed the baby's gender and they were both ecstatic and teary-eyed.
Ranveer kissed her lips and then her belly and she watched amused as he talked to their unborn child. She loved it and he did it all the time. "Good night my little princess." He whispered adoringly, tugging at Deepika's heart. He was going to be an excellent father, she knew that, he already was... Her eyes watered and he looked up at her smiling. "You sleep while I kiss your mommy." She smiled too and he proceeded to do what he told the baby he would do. "Make sure she has your dimples." He said kissing her cheeks, making her chuckle.
"I'll try..."

Deepika's whole life was a dream come true right now; dream husband, dream house, dream career and a baby on the way. She had everything she always dreamed of. She didn't complain about her sore back and swollen feet, she loved being pregnant and feel their baby girl move and kick inside of her. Ranveer was jealous though, when she started to feel the baby move and he couldn't feel anything, but as time went by the baby grew bigger and stronger and the day he could feel her kicks, he cried. Again, if calling her his girlfriend made him proud and calling her his wife made his chest want to explode, seeing her carrying his child melted his heart. His melted heart didn't even belong to himself anymore, it belonged to them, to his wife and his daughter.
Neither one of them knew the meaning of true love until they actually held their baby in their arms. Until they met her and she opened her big brown eyes and looked at them for the first time. Ranveer couldn't believe how much of Deepika he saw in her, she was exactly how he imagined her. She was perfect. Deepika couldn't let go of her, couldn't stop looking at her, kissing the top of her little head and her perfect little hands. She couldn't believe this precious little thing came out of her. "Can you believe we made this?" They were in awe. In love. Hooked. It was the happiest day of their lives.
"We did a great job. We should get an award for this." The proud new dad answered, making Deepika laugh, as always.
They looked like kids with a new toy. Nothing else mattered in their world, nothing other than their happy little family.
