"I'm ready."
His voice in her ear sent shivers down her spine and his words only had one meaning to her.
"Really? Her eyes watered and she loosened her arms around him so she could see his face. He was on top of her, leaving trails of kisses from her ear down to her neck.
"Let's not avoid it anymore..." He smiled at her. He wanted to give her everything she could possibly want, make her the happiest she's ever been. He had found his life's meaning. He loved her so much than it wasn't just about making her happy, together they were one; same hopes, same dreams. He was truly ready even though they planned to wait at least two years.

Deepika had always wanted children - she still wanted many - but she didn't know how amazing her married life with Ranveer would be. She knew they would be happy but this was better than anything she could have ever imagined. He slept with his arms around her waist. His chest pressed against her back, his strong arms around her, his breath on her neck... the feeling still drove her insane. She felt safe and protected and incredibly lucky to have found him, to be able to experience this kind of love people say doesn't exist anymore. She gave into it afraid of getting hurt again and it turned out to be the best thing that has ever happened to her.
She still wanted a baby but she didn't want what they had to change; it was too good for that. They were very different but always on the same page. She learned to love the little things about him that annoyed her at first. She learned to love that pain in your stomach you get when you laugh really hard. He would wake up with a big smile every morning and go to bed drowning her in kisses. The very few times they got mad at each other she was the one to patch things up. He looked like a sad little boy whenever she was upset and that broke her heart. And that's the last thing she's ever going to do; break his heart. His heart is too precious, too good. She will never break his spirit, never steal from him that happiness that emanates from him. Instead, she takes that happiness and makes it her own as well. She's happy when he's happy, it takes just one smile to make her day better, one call to hear his sweet voice and lift her mood when they're away from each other. She knows their child won't change their love for each other or their amazing relationship, but only make it better and take it to another level. Still, it makes her nervous. Life is too good right now. Why change it?

A few months went by and they started shooting a romantic film together. It was great to see each other on set. People loved to watch them too. Deepika mothered him a lot but also goofed around with him. And their eyes told it all, over a year of marriage and they still had that dumb look in their eyes when they looked at each other, he still blew her kisses from afar and she winked at him when she caught him looking. Needless to say, the chemistry was amazing and the hype through the roof.
Their days were long but it didn't seem like that to them. Their breaks were scarce but they made very good use of them. It took a few too many tries, not that they minded working for it but there was bound to be some impatience.
"Why is it taking so long?"
"Because the best things are made with patience and dedication..."
And he was right, by the time they were ready to start promotions, Deepika was already struggling to hide her growing baby bump from prying eyes. She started showing from one day to another, almost as if by magic. Ranveer was ecstatic, he couldn't keep his hands off of her. He became more affectionate - if that was even possible - and more over-protective. He would steal kisses from her more often and hug her from behind when she was distracted, wrapping his arms around her waist. He would also make sure she made time to eat and rest well everyday. Not many knew yet, just those closer to them, family and people they worked with everyday. It was their little secret and they loved having something that was only theirs and nobody else's. Luckily, you couldn't tell she was pregnant in the movie, they were done filming just in time. Ranveer liked to say she was showing early because she's so slim the baby didn't have anywhere to hide. Deepika thought the baby was a little too much like Ranveer, loud and making his or her presence known almost right from the start; morning sickness and now this, a tiny bulge in her stomach at the age of twelve weeks. Deepika's stylist did a great job choosing the right outfits for her to wear during the promotions. A few people commented with suspicion but nobody believed it. After all, it wasn't the first time the media tried to announce she was pregnant.
They did a lot of interviews while promoting, there were questions about the movie, of course, as well as questions about their marriage and about children. They answered most of them on a friendly tone, trying not to reveal too much. They shared silly and quirky anecdotes, bits about working together again, about life at home, like his favorite food that she makes, how she cleans after him as if he were a little child, there was a little bickering, some holding of hands, not too much, just enough to make fans squeal with delight.
