"What are you doing?" Deepika asked upon waking up, before she could even open her eyes. It was strange to find Ranveer awake so early. She didn't know what time it was but she assumed it was early. Ranveer chuckled without answering her question.
She rubbed her eyes. The sun was up, shining bright through the window and in front of her was him clad in nothing but short black boxers. "Are you packing?" She asked when she realized he was putting stuff into his suitcase.
"I am." He shot her a big smile and then walked over to her side of the bed to give her a kiss, patting her baby bump at the same time. "Good morning, love. Good morning, champ." Every morning they greeted each other like that, with a kiss. If either one of them wasn't home they used the phone and before leaving for the day he would also kiss Ria goodbye even if she was asleep, same with their unborn child.
Deepika was used to him doing that and still, it didn't get old. She loved it.
"I booked us a better hotel - a resort by the beach." Ranveer said proudly. They were currently staying at a hotel provided by the award show organizers. It was really nice and close to the show's venue but they didn't need to be in that area anymore. Plus, fans and the media knew everybody was staying there. It was a better idea to find a more private location closer to the beach, in which they could relax and enjoy their few days off and away from the world.
Deepika smiled, loving his idea and then looked at the clock on the bedside table; they still had a couple of hours before the time at which hotels usually make guests check out. She was usually an early riser but her body and even her brain demanded more rest lately. She was starting to sleep in without meaning to, that's why he was up before her that morning.
"Come here... Cuddle with me, it's too early." She didn't want to get up yet, plus she was used to waking up in his arms. The view though was quite enjoyable...
"It's not early, it's 9 AM." He said amused. It wasn't early by her usual standards but they did go to bed quite late the night before.
"Veer..." She insisted, pulling his hand, well aware of the time. He smiled, thinking who am I to argue? Packing could wait. He crawled into bed, joining her under the covers and showering her with kisses. "Much better." She whispered as he wrapped his arms around her.
"This is perfect." He whispered a few minutes later and she nodded in agreement. There was nowhere she would rather be than there in his arms.
"We are missing something, though. Someone..." She added.
He knew right away who she was talking about. "Our sweet Princess... She would be jumping on our bed right now."
"Trying to wake you up." Deepika said with a smile and then sighed.
Ranveer rubbed her back and kissed her forehead before disentangling himself from her to get his phone from the nightstand. "Let's call her, I miss her too."
Deepika cheered up immediately and Ranveer dialed the number, going back to his spot on the bed with an arm around her. His mom answered and they talked for a few minutes before she put Ria on the phone.
"Papaaaaaaaaaaa!" Their little one's voice filled up the room. She always greeted him like that and he loved it.
"Riaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" He imitated her, making both of his girls laugh.
"How are you, baby? We miss you!" Deepika said.
"Mummyyyyyyyyy! I miss you very much... and I miss Papa too." Her cute voice went from sounding happy to a little sad by the end of the sentence.
"We'll be back soon, sweetie. I can't wait to give you a big hug and many, many kisses." Deepika said, blowing kisses to her baby girl.
"But you are with dada and dadi, you always have fun with them!" Ranveer added sounding excited, in order to pass on the excitement to her. And it was true, Ria loved visiting her grandparents. Her own parents spoiled her to death but her grandparents spoiled her even more, if that was even possible...
