Chapter 10

Jack's POV

I prepared myself sliping my jeans and a simple white T-shirt. It's getting dark and cold but I didn't mind carrying a jacket. I just wanted to meet with her and end everything.

Taking my car keys I headed out and locked my house. Reviving the engine back to life I drove slowly to the restaurant she told me to meet her.

It took me ten minutes and I  was there. I parked my car and entered searching for her. Luckily people had not filled the place hence it was easy to locate her. I took a seat opposite her without saying a simple 'hi'.
She is not worthy my greetings anyways.

"Wow, it's good to see you here, I thought you will bail me. " I gave her a grudging look to which she responded with a goofy smile that told me she wasn't going to bugde soon. As a result it forced me to smile back. That is the most hard thing to act all tough and bad in front of a person you have ever loved. Let me dump my attitude for now.

"I would not do that since I had  words to tell you too. Anyway back to business. Tell me now what you wanted to say."

"I've ordered our food and it will be here few minutes from now, " she said. That a good way to change the subject. I thought.

"Okay that's nice ,you can be talking to me before then."I was adamant and I stuck to my point.

Sure by her words the food came before she had a chance to answer me. The food was well placed and that is the time I realized I had not taken anything since yesterday. I took my share and ate silently as I waited her to start the conversation.

I don't know what was taking her this long to start a simple conversation. She is the one who suggested this meeting, didn't she ?

Three more minutes in silence and that's is when she feighned a cough.

"I called you here to say that I'm sorry, "

"Only that ? But I'm not in need of your sorry Trizah don't play tricks to me. Enough of what you did to me. I don't want you to pity me, you can go on dating your boyfriend. " My temper ? that one of the things I dont know to control. How can she tell me that she is sorry now. It has been two weeks for crying out loud. I'm fucked up.

"Let me explain please." She saw my temper  and decided to go on talking. I just nodded looking at my food that I had already lost appetite .

"It's not what you think, I mean I have not been cheating on you for the time we were dating."

"Please you would have told me early enough that you had a boyfriend I would not have forced you, but what did you do ? You just allowed me to trust you only to know that you have been playing with my feelings, two years Trizah ! " I stood up ready to go but she sat me on the seat once again telling me to wait until she finishes.

"Jack I loved you since that day when we met at the administration. The more we got to know each other the more I felt attached to you and before I knew it I accepted to be your girlfriend. " she stopped her speech and stared at me wanting to know the level of my concentration. To be honest I was listening but too impatient to hear the part I was waiting. I just nodded showing her to go on.

"But when I was in highschool I had fallen in love with this guy who I dated for a year before we joined university. He was offered a scholarship to study in France which made him to leave. I thought I will never love him again and it got hard for us to manage a long distance relationship. But when he came back three weeks ago he searched for me and told me that he still loves me. " I had to interrupt before she would release a bomb on my face.
