This story is written for the JustWriteIt for February 2018. The theme of Eternal Love is about coming up with an alternative ending for Romeo and Juliet. I got my idea by glancing through some of the comments, and saw one person was doing sci-fi, another mentioned genderbending but yet another commented on Juliet's young age, and somehow this was born. Originally though, this wasn't going to be a crossover with Batman Beyond, but a Space Opera. I found I would find myself doing less world building, plus the cloning element already exists in Young Justice. I'm also able to implement certain features with more ease.
I've got to honestly admit though, I find the plot creepy. Tybalt as one of my readers pointed out is a creep, though that is completely intended. The references to the other plays that I'm working in, but also the culture clash between the different time periods is interesting. The plot is far from simple, nor do I know how long it will take to finish. I know I'll get the 9.5-10k by the end of the month. It's super dark though, and deals with some very sensitive subject matter, making it a harder write as I want to get these elements - not perfect, but as well done as possible, particularly since I don't want them to come across as kink
