"I want you to keep her here. Temporary." I whispered to Daniel.
Daniel looked thoughtful for a second before his look changed to confusion. "What do you mean by tha-"
"No questions. Just follow my instructions." I cut through his sentence. Daniel opened his mouth to say something but closed it back.
"Now, I want you to untie her and bring her to one of the rooms. Ask any one of the maids whether they could help her bathe and put medication on her body."
Daniel looked at me with furrowed eyebrows.
"Do you understand?" I asked. After a few minutes, he nodded slowly. "Yeah." He said, his eyebrows still furrowed.
I gave him a sharp nod. "Go." I ordered. Daniel immediately went to untie her. As he did that, I decided to walk back to my office.
As I reached, I opened the door and slammed it behind me. I slumped onto my chair and rested my head against my hand.
I felt so triggered at what happened. Her words...
"Now you tell me. Wouldn't you do the same thing if your mother faced this problem too?"
I groaned in frustration as I rested my elbow on the armrest and rubbed my temples. Why...just why...
Why wasn't I thinking? What happened to me before saying it? Why was I being so stupid and dumb? Just...why?
I wish I could rewind time. So that I could undo my mistakes. I don't have to worry about whether i would get killed or what. My life would've been at least a little bit better.
Sadly, it only appears in my dreams. There's no such thing as supernatural powers after all...
I heard the door knocking sound, making myself bring back to reality. I looked up at the door immediately. "Come in." I said grumpily.
Daniel opened the door. "I've done what you've told me to do. She's sitting on the bed now." He said.
I stayed still for a second before nodding. Daniel closed the door and I let out a stressful sigh. What am I supposed to do now?
I tried to think all sorts of things but nothing came into my head. I rubbed the temples and let out a frustrated groan. "What should I do?" I asked myself.
After a few minutes, an idea came into my head. I was going to jump out of my seat and say "Hallelujah" but I stopped myself. I should think about it before I embarrass myself like earlier.
After thinking about it, I felt like there's nothing wrong with it. I'm just going to talk to her after all...
But what's there to talk about? My mind asked.
That was a good question. Well...
I thought about it for a while and nothing came into my head. After that, I decided to ignore and continue with my idea. I'm just going to say whatever comes into my head.
I stood up and walked to her room. When I stood in front of her room, I felt the sudden nervous feeling coursing through my body. Why am I feeling this way? I should be confident.
I straightened up my suit and took a deep breath before twisting the knob. Yuna was sitting on the bed, her back facing me. Her head turned around by the sound and looked at me. Her expression changed as she looked back.
"Oh...it's you..." I heard her mumble.
I felt more nervous hearing her words. I closed the door behind me and slowly walked towards her. I could feel my heart beating faster as I was close to her.
I sat on the bed slowly in front of her. I looked at her expression. She looked angry.
"Sorry about what happened earlier..." I spoke. "I wasn't thinking before saying..." I trailed off.
She looked up at me with the same expression. "Sorry doesn't help." She muttered angrily.
I swallowed my saliva as I looked down. I didn't know what else to say.
After a few moments of silence, I heard her spoke. "It's okay. People make mistakes anyway..."
I looked up at her feeling surprised. Did she just...accept my apology?
"Are you surprised?" I heard her voice. I looked at her and saw her giving me a small smile. Wait, what?
I gave her a confused look. She chuckled as she looked back at me. "Do you know why I accepted your apology?" She asked.
"Uhm...is it because I made a mistake?" I raised an eyebrow.
She looked thoughtful for a second. "Other than that?"
"Uh..." I trailed off.
She chuckled again as she stood up and moved closer to me. She stared at me, her eyes intensed. The room became so silent that probably a sound of an earring dropping could be heard.
"Do you know that there's a different side of you that no one knows?" She said.
I raised my eyebrow. What in the fuck is she saying? "I only have one side...and that's this." I pointed to myself.
And she chuckled again. "One day...you will find someone that will change you. Make you feel. And lastly, steal your heart away."
"I know that you will have a different side that almost people who are living with you don't want. But that someone...would cherish it."
I gave her a weird look after hearing her words."I know you don't believe me but one day...if you get this, you'll understand." She said.
She let out a sigh as she took my hand and held onto it. "I don't think we will meet each other again...but if we do, then that's a good thing." She finished, smiling.
She leaned in and gave a peck on my cheek. "Good luck." She whispered in my ear as she got up and walked to the door. She opened it, turned around and gave me a small smile before closing the door.
I was so stunned at her words. I've never believed in love. I always thought that love never existed.
Maybe what she said might be true...who knows what could happen. Right?
