I was leaning on the wall next to the kitchen door. I stared at Guanlin as he was talking to his father about his business. Jiwoo told me that he's a businessman.

I let out a breath. I'm really glad that he's not a mafia. Although I get a lot of weird vibes from this mansion...

I waited and waited but it seems like their conversation won't end. He told me that he wanted to tell me something. That's why I'm waiting for him.

After a while, he finally finished talking as he turned around and walked towards me with a hard look on his face.

Why does he always have that hard look? It's not that I don't like it though. He does look very handsome.

He stopped when our bodies were almost touching. I found it a little bit weird that he's very close to me but I just brushed it off.

"So...what do you want to tell me?" I asked, looking up at him.

He let out a heavy sigh and then looked at me. "I'm...going somewhere and..." He trailed off.

He stayed silent, looking thoughtful for a while. "I-It's something to do with my business so..." He continued.

My heart instantly sanked at his words. Why do I feel this way?

I nodded slowly. "What time will you be back?" I asked.

"Uh..." He scratched the back of his neck as his face looked very unsure. "I'm not sure...but I'll come back." He said.

My heart ached at his words. So does that mean I'll have to sleep alone again? Oh no...

My eyebrows frowned in sadness. "You will come back right?" I asked him. I feel like he's the only one who can make me feel at peace. The feeling of his presence not at my side makes me feel unprotected.

He looked really scared and a little in pain too. "I will try..." He replied with a little bit of confidence.

I felt myself calming down. I'm sure he'll come back so there's nothing to be scared about, right?

I could see his face getting closer to mine but someone called his name. He let out a 'tsk' sound as he rolled his eyes and walked away from me.

My heart fluttered at the sight as my stomach did a weird flip. What is this weird feeling?

But that was very hot. Not gonna lie...

What?!

Agree with me. Don't you think so?

He talked to Daniel for a while. After that, he gave a nod to his father before turning his head at my direction. He gave me a hard look as he walked out of the mansion.

I really hope that he would come back. I don't know why but now, I feel really empty and it feels like something's missing.

I'm sure he would come back since he said he will try.

I hope so...

"Mina!" I heard one of the maids calling me from the kitchen.

I still got work to do...
