After wearing my coat, my eyes darted to the mirror as I stared at myself from head to toe - my hair gelled back while wearing one of my most expensive, black suit and shoes.

The day has come. After months of waiting and waiting. The day is finally here, right in front of my eyes.

Not that I'm excited, though. I'm just going there just because I just want to get Mina back.

But...don't forget, Guanlin. You have something else too...

My eyebrows furrowed a little before going back to its shape. I felt my corner lip slowly tilting up, forming a smirk.

I know that things are going to happen. That's for sure. I mean, this is a targeted party so...what do you expect?

But whatever it is, I am ready. I'm ready face anything that's coming in my way because...

If I want something, I'll make sure I'll get it. Even if it means to risk my own life, I will still go for it. No matter what.

I can't wait to bring Mina back. These past few months, I've been craving for her touch, kisses, voice...every single thing about her.

But before that, I have to do something.

Something that I've never told anyone.

Not even Daniel.

I'm not going to tell anyone yet. Until that time comes.

Suddenly, I heard the door open. I blinked as I went out of thought and turned around to see who it is.

I saw Jiwoo entering the room as she closed the door behind her. I stared at her as she walked towards me, her face expressionless.

As she was getting closer to me, I realised that her eyes were really puffy and tired, looking like as if she cried before coming here.

She let out a long sigh before looking down, not uttering a single word. I felt myself getting a little confused by her actions.

Why is she acting like that?

Silence filled the room as I just kept quiet and went into thought. I don't want to speak. Not like there's something to say even if I open my mouth.

"You're probably wondering why I'm here, right?" I heard her ask, instantly breaking through my thoughts.

I looked down at her who was still facing down while playing with her fingers. She slowly looked up at me after that, her expression still the same as before.

"Well..." She started. "I came here to ask you something. I don't think you would agree since Daniel didn't but...I'll just try."

"What?" I simply asked, my voice low.

Her lips parted a little, looking like she was going to speak. She stopped herself by closing back her lips, looking like something was stopping her.

After a while of silence, I heard her speaking again. When I heard her ask, my eyes instantly widened.

"Can I...go to the party, too?" She asked, her voice soft with fear evident in it.

I felt so surprised at what she was asking. I didn't expect her to ask something like this at all...
