I was just sitting on my chair, staring into space. I was daydreaming a little too much that when someone opened the door, it made me flinch.

I look up to see my father entering the room, his usual scary glare written on his face. My anger rose instantly at the sight.

What does he want now? If it's about the stupid 'business', I'll kick his ass out of my room.

He walked towards the table as he sat on the chair in front of it. I looked away from him after that, not wanting to see his stupid face.

We kept quiet, making silence fall into the room. I don't want to speak to him. It's not like I have something to talk about anyway.

"So...you know...life has been really bad ever since that Jihoon came...and...I realised that...you're not doing anything at all..." He said.

I continued to look away as he continued to speak. "Since you were not doing anything in the past few days, which caused a lot of problems..." He trailed off.

"I came into realisation that...I should help you with this job."

I looked back at him, I couldn't help but stare at him with a little surprise. Did he just say that he'll...

Help...me?!

I quickly changed my expression to a hard look and nodded my head sharply. I continued to look somewhere else again, pretending like I wasn't bothered by it.

"I'm just doing your job temporary so that the business will be stable."

I continued to look away from him. As I did that, I felt a hand grabbing my gently.

I looked at my hand and my eyes went wide for a few seconds, feeling really shocked at what I'm seeing.

He was holding my hand, his thumb caressing on my knuckles. I want to remove his hand off mine so badly.

"I know what you're going through. I've felt that before. It's very saddening to lose someone that you love so much." He spoke in a sad tone that made my anger rise slowly.

"But you have to be strong. Just for her. I know that it's very hard but...there's no other choice left. You have to stay strong until the the day of the party comes." He continued.

I kept quiet, still not looking at his face. He's trying to show his stupid empathy and giving me advices out of nowhere. This isn't my father at all...

I felt my arm being pulled slowly. I looked at it to see him on the verge of kissing my hand.

Without any thought, I moved my hand away from his immediately. I looked at him who looked like he was in pain. My heart ached at the sight but I continued to ignore.

I could see from the corner of my eye that he looked really sad. Like as if he heard some sad news and he couldn't take it.

I saw him getting up from the chair.
"I'll go...then..." He said in a most hearbreaking way that it caused a really painful squeeze in my heart.

I continued to look away as he walked towards the door. He opened it and was about to leave when he turned around to look at me.

"I'm...sorry..." He apologised, his voice nearly cracking at his words. I continued to look away, not giving him a gaze as he closed the door.

When I heard the door close, I let out a breath as I took in large breaths to calm myself down.

I felt my emotions coming up as I stared at the door while a tear ran down my cheeks.
